I think degrafting depends on the specific kind of cactus. Some of them are grafted because the top cactus doesn’t root super well. I’ve read you can cut them off and try to root them but after being grafted it usually won’t root
My cactuses have been doing so great this spring/summer it's very encouraging...lots of new growth! My succulents are stretching and getting really disformed even under a grow light ...any tips?
Euphorbia aren’t actually cacti and are mistaken a lot for cacti, especially since a lot can be found at cacti and succulent nurseries and sections, and are sold as cacti. They’re part of a different genus and family: Euphorbiaceae. Some Euphorbia have evolved to look a lot like cacti because some originate from similar environments to cacti but some features are different. They’re also from the new and old world, while cacti are exclusively from the new world. There are SO many of them and are an extremely varied genus. For example, Poinsettias are Euphorbia Pulcherrima scientifically, and Euphorbia Moratii is an example of one with a caudex (and one of my favorites). I’ve been reading a bunch about them recently and have found their classification super interesting. Just wanted to share the info. 💚 Also amazing collection! I’ve been loving Cacti, Succulents, and Euphorbia a ton recently, so it was awesome to see a video from you showing them. 😊
Very nice! I have a euphorbia knuthii that I really want to live because it’s so cool!! I always yo yo between “Don’t overwater!!” And “OMG am I killing this from drought!???” lol
Oh same. Then sometimes the soil will be bone dry so I'll water my cacti and succs but they'll end up dying from overwatering. Now I just make my own very very veryyyy well draining soil and only water when they look like they need it.
You should do merch that says “..plant me..” with different bare root plants like orchids (please not just phal) or cuttings of cebu blue, micans, silver sword, Florida ghost, you get it.. or begonias!
