I've had my Workpro knives for quite a few years now, from before they made the button lock. BTW, Axis locks are different, the cross-pin goes all the way to the other side, so it is in "double shear". These are a button lock, which only engages from one side - still a good design. Workpro does have the original raw stainless model with the button lock now, and some other finishes including camo. Saw this as I'm about to order a pack of the new button lock version, although I consider the button sticking out as far as it does a negative, due to catching on pocket hems etc. But it's fun, and I'll have both so I can carry what I feel like that day. The original frame lock version is still being sold at this time, not sure if that will continue long term. Oh, and I actually sharpen my utility blades before I install them, they come with a small burr on one side, and I like a true razor edge. So touching it up after some use is not really any different from putting in a new one for me. Just no tears shed if I get a little western and break off a point on one of these.
Searching for those types of utility knives, I found the Otacle U1! Not too cheap, but It let's you use almost the whole blade, has crossbar lock with thumb studs and works with standard blades... And I sharpen the blades too, stopping them few times and it's good practice for when sharpening actual knives! Utility blades might be cheap, but won't hold much either, getting good brand blades and maintaining them few times is cheaper for me!
I just stumbled upon this video now. I actually needed a new knife for work. I ordered a two pack of those Duratechs on Amazon about a month or so ago. I use a knife or razor blade (I’ve switched between one or the other) daily and I’m quite hard on them. So far the Duratech has been holding up good for a cheap knife.
Absolutely love these knives. I carry the mossy oak stonewashed version every day and it makes a great little combo with my stream light micro stream and .38 special. I use it to death and the more you see how this steps in to do everything, it makes the weight of another “primary” knife just not worth it for me. Great, durable knives.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for watching! Cheers mate!
Great video duane the boxcutters you have look nice however i remember when i bought a cheap chinese boxcutter and the locking mechanism snapped
Hi Damian,
I guess that's the problem with buying the really cheap stuff. But I still do it. LOL
So upset I paid 10 bucks for one when I could get 3 for 10 on the same site 😭
I got one too but has different name "Swisstech" and it comes with a free 10pcs of blade. Yeah you're right about they're made in the same factory.
Hey Jason,
Thanks for watching and commenting.

Thanks Michael!
How old are you 🤔
How old do you think I am?
My mom once had a knife. To this day I still don't know how the racoon got in the house. Probably spinach.
37 push-ups every day and an old blue pick-up truck.
@@XDM50 I like the color blue. It reminds me of grass.
