had to stop and think of why they'd use such and old style usb to computer connection, then remembered that the machine is most likely going to be in an industrial setting and usbc just isn't robust enough to withstand much dust/debris. or at least that was the conclusion I came up with in my head for it. thanks for attention to this machine, it kinda scratches that perfect itch.

Yes- the connection is more robust and it's also the connector on the main controller board! I can't wait to show making projects with the P3 :)
