I decided to get my ham radio license earlier this year and am almost completed my first (basic) fpv drone build. I just need to finish a few settings in betaflight. Except I'm scared to fly it. I think flying them is much more difficult than building them. 😂 It sucks that all this drone innovation is born out of necessity since ukraine doesn't have enough weapons but I am excited to see where the technology goes. I agree that we need a country other than China producing the components (even if they are cheaper). I hope when Ukraine wins this war, your country will be producing top of the line commerical drones for the world.

Yes they have, the main problem atm is the recoil of the gun mounted on a BABA Yaga drone, but they are almost there, next off course is the amount of ammo.

@@wishingb5859 wasn't sure if you were talking about drones with guns mounted or EW guns to defend against drones. EW guns have downsides and the AI developments if widely deployed can counter them a reasonable amount.

its the nature of innovation, its been on every-body interested in the tech's mind since the war on terror saw predator drone strikes became commonplace, that it was just a matter of time before the tech was miniaturized and automated. -Better that a future NATO ally is the test bed for the innovation possibly pioneering a new additional tactics that will save NATO lives in the future, when the tech is eventually used against us by our enemies.

Great work, Wild Hornets! Question: Is it possible to develop drop mechanisms for munitions so that the drone doesn’t have to be sacrificed each time? Slava Ukraine!
The next step is to form a "Hive Mind" using AI that will command a drone swarm, dividing drones to different targets so that not all drones attack the same target, and optimising attack effectiveness. Also, a swarm master is dynamic, such that if it gets shot down, another member of the swarm can take over. The next stage will be ground drone swarms, like "ant" drones that will swarm trench positions and for urban combat. "Ant" drones may just carry a single grenade, but just imagine your positions being attacked by hundreds of grenade carrying "ant" drones!
That is a genius idea! That being said, it probably won’t be until the 2030s when this idea is put into place, though it wouldn’t be surprising if it happened sooner.
Technology is growing fast, so it’s shocking but not surprising to me. After all, Ukrainians need to be creative if they want to fight a much more powerful army.
Would it help to have some moulds made for some of the plastic components so they could be injection moulded so you can pop them out every like 20-30 seconds as opposed to waiting on prints?

The next step is to form a "Hive Mind" using AI that will command a drone swarm, dividing drones to different targets so that not all drones attack the same target, and optimising attack effectiveness. Also, a swarm master is dynamic, such that if it gets shot down, another member of the swarm can take over. The next stage will be ground drone swarms, like "ant" drones that will swarm trench positions and for urban combat. "Ant" drones may just carry a single grenade, but just imagine your positions being attacked by hundreds of grenade carrying "ant" drones!

That is a genius idea! That being said, it probably won’t be until the 2030s when this idea is put into place, though it wouldn’t be surprising if it happened sooner.

Would it help to have some moulds made for some of the plastic components so they could be injection moulded so you can pop them out every like 20-30 seconds as opposed to waiting on prints?

@@canadiangemstones7636 the main issue is mold design. Commercial quality molds can be quite expensive to develop I believe. But not unfeasible.
You will find what you are looking for if you watch videos of Russian combat drones in Ukraine...for comparison, the UA are still in the Stone Age when it comes to manufacturing and construction!

One should create a parent drone that lasers a target and the child drone would follow that beam to the target
