    Did you get rid of that squeaky hinge? Try to lubricate the hinge itself, under the front fender. If it get’s stuck there and brakes ... you have challenging repair :-)

      Thanks for your tip Raymond! Yes it has gotten better once I realized where the noise came from. It came from the spot that you mention, so you were perfectly right!

    I used to have a 1967 250SE, same color and same seat upholstery.
    It was a 4 speed on the tree.
    What a great car.
    I still regret letting it go !!

      I am not worried about replacements. I got enough of just 108/9 cars to last me two lifetimes. That '67 250SE was just the nicest original I ever had.

      @@Pexyz who would you recommend for total restoration?

    • @Pexyz
      @Pexyz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@43DaddyBig Hard to say. I'm sorry, but I don't really have someone to recommend. I guess it depends on where in the world you are and what kind of result you want. I suppose there are some good companies in Germany and even the factory restores cars at the Oldtimer Center in Stuttgart.

    I was wondering, why you did not use a chamois, to dry the car off,after washing it.

    • @Pexyz
      @Pexyz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! I didn't find it necessary this time. The paint isn't the best on this car. It needs some work. However I believe it still has the original paint on the hood, trunk and parts of the doors. Thank for watching and commenting!

    Hello!, What's the grease you use for the car hood springs? Cupper grease? Which brand it is? The same one than for the barke pads? And what product are you spraying the engine with prior to wash it? Gazoline? Congratulations for this project!

    • @Pexyz
      @Pexyz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Julian and thanks for watching! Yes this is a very nice car and a fun project. I hope to bring you all an update on it soon. I tried some various lubrication products on the hood hinges before I realized that the bad squeeking came from the lower hinge mounting on the left side. The copper grease I used is the same as on the brakes, but I think there are other kinds of grease that are more apropriate to use on the hinges than cupper. I just took what I had for the moment. Don't know the brand of it, sorry. For engine cleaning I use a good petroleum based degreaser. I don't use gasoline. I hope this answers your questions. Thanks again for commenting and watching!

    the gasolinepump is working and the gasoline is good
    It wants to start with starting spray but apperently he will stole
    For what is the yellow big line with the white thing between over the engine isnt there a second filter for gasoline somewhere?

      what did you use to wash the engine bay and inside

    • @Pexyz
      @Pexyz  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used some heavy duty degreasing solvent for the engine bay. The inside I just vacuum cleaned.

    • @Pexyz
      @Pexyz  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching and commenting! I'm glad you like my project. Sorry to hear that your car won't start. The line you mention is the vacuum pipe for the brake booster, so it has nothing to do with the fuel system. My first tip for you is to disconnect the fuel line that goes into the injection system, then turn the ignition on and see if you have fuel coming to the engine, but be careful, put the hose end in a bottle or something so you don't spray fuel all over. This way you can see if your problem is in the injection system or in the fuel feed. You might have a clogged fuel hose or something.
