This was so refreshing 2 see stick welding, just tired of everyone picking up a MIG welder
But he has no penetration with his welds are very surface level they will never last 1 good bump or having to slam on the brake he will be walking, he only knows how to tack weld repeatedly, if your doing tutorial videos teach the right shit

Very good! Both of rear tires have their own engines respectively, free from differential gear.

The thing is you get some trade-offs with wheel size. For uneven ground small wheels are dangerous, like with small wheels on scooters they are known to be rather unstable, where with larger wheels you have less rigidity. This is why people ultimately go for larger alloy wheels. If you want to go faster then you'll find this becomes more of an issue. Aerodynamics will also need to be considered. It's quite easy to knock up with some fibreglass fairing. Being low to the ground is good though.

I hope you don't hit an immovable object, because that steering 'column' will core you like an apple. It was a common fault in American cars in the 30's thru to 60's. Otherwise go Lithium for long lasting power

Amen. Before tilting steering columns many heads were removed by a steering wheel also here in Northern Europe.
This is a go kart not a car for the roads

Nice build but, it needs some improvements. A suspension, outer part of the hubs need support, a brace closer to the steering wheel.

At maximum power that motors with that size of back wheels it should be able to reach at least 80km/h (45mph) , depending on the gear ratio from the motor to the wheel, pretty Nice job, very good idea the double wheels and that motors are monsters be careful if you gonna use higher voltages
that's why I only use 12v 😅

Fun build Brother, but would suggest adding some support to the outer axle points. Those bike axles aren't designed to have weight applied to only one side. Especially if you over volt those motors! If the chain were to break when a back wheel snaps off at the axle...very bad things could happen! Like ...cut your arm or leg off kind of "Bad"! Be safe Brother! it's hard to build without hands! ;)

Interesting welding technique. Guessing there is more than just tacks holding it together?
We call it ticky tack welding at work or 'sam' welding after a welder named sam who would weld everything fucking like that. You can kinda get away with it on thin material with a mig but it's very prone, to cracking, cold role and inclusions. If done carefully it can be ok when welding oversized gaps on non critical or low stress welds but really it's just shit and only slightly better than glueing shit together

Your wheel bolts need support from both sides to keep from bending. Other than that great build

Instead of alternator better buy a cheap broken hoverboard and use the motors.To modify an alternator is more expensive because you need to buy the magnets and separatedly they cost a lot more than getting allready made motors from hoverboard.

Built someting similar about 8yrs ago for my daught. One issue i continually had was the constant torque beaking the spokes on the drive wheels.
this is the first time in 12 years since he's lived there that he was able to go down that alley because he's never fast enough to get past those dogs LOL

If you have suspension and differential would be much better for softer & smoother ride ! ! Moreover, Safety feature is the MOST IMPORTANT factor for any build.

You can put one more battery under the steering rod, there is pretty much space for it. You can use it do double the permforance or use it for emergency battery.
Simple, easy and fast.the battery is actually better for the weight.the best.now can you please show how to make that motor? If possible. Like from nothing.
