I wish you'd told off the guy in the comments, you replied to him saying they should mine and repair but not saying he's giving bad advice saying razor wire is a waste of time hahaha... You even immediately say how useful it is right after that Like..what? It's like saying mines arent game winners Barbing up the other side of cover is totally worth it, especially when you're already capping and it's free
@@KaladinVegapunk I agree with you completely another great use is to prevent AT guns from getting flanked by infantry, closing paths can also force retreating infantry into mines/demo charges or force advancing ones where you want (a lot of players see this coming though). It's just like building extra bunkers after your pop capped, if you have the time, do it. Story time, I had a lull in the battle and decided to throw down tank traps next to a river to force things across a bridge right into a hmg and 2 at guns got me a clean tiger kill when the guy panicked and forgot to reverse on the bridge, the defensive structures (even the free ones) are almost always worth it if you have the time.
Tip: - Your AT gun can shoot through Forward Assembly or Emplacement so you can place it behind them with no problem -Garrisoning Mortar pit will give it faster firerate - Garrisoning Bofors will give it the Barrage ability, It can be used to counter Mortars or distant infantry. Bofors will not stop barraging even your infantry get out of Bofors but need to re enter to use it again. -Forward Assembly have slower Reinforce time, So don't build it too close to your main base if you are using retreat point.
I think forward Assembly give bonuses to emplacement, letting them have garrison upgrades without needing troops on them. I think, at least, I didn't replay this game in a long time. Also, Commandos can equip the same weapons of the Tommies, of course, but the UPGRADE they get from them is better. I remember seeing them firing their brens on the move, and they are much, much more lethal with it than the tommies. I would still consider commandos too fragile for their cost, but still..
@@drazarkabalblade9486 -They removed emplacement bonus with Forward Assembly to prevent Sim City. -Commando Bren is good, but Commandos themselves are CQC unit, Equipping Bren may somewhat increase long-range and mid-range firepower but for close range it remain relatively the same. It is still useful if you use bren to close the gap when ambushing.
@@MrPathorn I see for the first part. The second.. meh, I still consider commando too squishy to be effective at CQC. They get erased too fast. I think that a Bren at least makes them still of some use after they use their ambush, so that you don't have essentialy to use them as "fire-and-fade" units, since it still packs some punch. more than the smg that they start with at least. I don't remember if they are more effective with other weapons though. Like if their piats do more damage or if they can use the vichs better than the R.E. ( Of course it's not that they can get it for starters, but they can scrounge it, or if one of your allies can put them on the ground for you )
I like your style - as a true western ally you allowed the soviets to do most of the fighting :D (for the first game) PS: The firefly is a glass cannon (second game)
The new British changes are going to affect British strategy a bit. Mortar Pit might not be so necessary anymore since the flare upgrade for infantry sections allow smoke barrages, and the medics make healing so much easier.
Osttruppen also get a boost to precision when in cover :D Great video helped a lot bcs im also new to the game! Btw your discord is perfect, so many nice ppl to play with :)
so I'm surprised this didn't come up but I'm 21 mins in and not sure if this was said yet or after all British emplacements get a bonus for being garrisoned, but you wanna do the same with your MG as well. I forget EXACTLY which the bonus is, but it's either a wider arc of fire, or higher fire rate. you can also build trenches to make use of this.
Around 53:00, trying to get infantry close to enemy mg garrison without mortar pit: Gun car smoke on the mg, then rush infantry to throw the red smoke...
Hey Skippy, I enjoy your channel. Re: the question about infantry section or call in infantry - check game stats after every game and average out your damage per unit. I think you will find infantry sections with Brens can get up to 800-900 dmg while commandos do about 500. Combined arms , not relying too heavily on one type of infantry gives you better options most of the time. Thanks for your content.
based on my experience in playing the Brits, it seems that the Infantry Section has terrible killing power, especially when compared with the german grenadiers. i regularly had 3 inf.section squads equipped with a total of 6 Bren Guns, and compare their performance with 3 grenadier squads with 3 MG42 LMG. in any instances, the 3 grenadier squads kill enemies a lot faster than the 3 inf.section squads.
What I'm interested in is why you didn't turn around the map on the second play. Is there some kind of a trick? I always thought that it's more convenient to attack 'upward' having your base on the bottom. Maybe you could clear this one up for me please? :)
It probably is advantageous to turn the camera, but it makes me feel upside down since I played for years at the default angle. I prefer to stick to what I'm comfortable with.
Pedro Víctor Melo the PIATs aren’t grenade launchers, their handheld AT weapons like Panzershrecks. The Bren Gun is much better then the PIAT unless your being destroyed by tanks and have no other option. Otherwise just get the AT gun.
Can you please help me how to fix bugsplash , becose i press to play but it says running but its not poping out , after some time the bugsplash comes , basicly the game wont load and show when i start it.
Your game is soo smooth and beautiful I play with like 20 fps minimum graphics its very hard like that !Also shame on the company that made this game for making us pay for the factions
@@XMysticHerox Because I think it's not an weapon upgrade I think, but it's a general buff that the R.E. get, since they become slower, more armored and work quicker, the gun is just a bonus. So the game doesn't consider it as "extra weapons".
Sherman Firefly i think it's worse than other tank destroyers in the game. while the firepower is good, it's slow to move and also very slow to rotate the gun. once it's flanked or outmaneuvered by other tank, it will die quickly
The comet tank using the same 17 pdr gun with Sabot shell, great at counter the KT, Tiger, and yes even the Jdg Tiger and retain the characteristics of being mobile, better than the Firefly, you can try to blob 2 comet with a support of a Cromwell if ya like, good all rounder on bigger map and even small map, the gamon bomb can stick on vehicles (if i remember correctly) so you can snare vehicles on the offense, and really appreciate that you covered the cover denial tactics, and i think you forgot something really important that is ammo /fuel caches, i have it own perk still be mindful with MP(man power) cost The last one, OKW gonna be a real hard one to play or mastering, since it will require to be aggressive and clear intent of play style, good luck Skippy looking forward to your new vids!
Oh yea, forgot a one big game mechanics, TERRAIN!!!! Every unit does have bonus on accuracy on higher terrain, for example, you AT gun shoot more accurately down the slope while the enemies is below them, work every time with every unit, either infantry or support weapons ( not them mortar since they don't even know the definition of slope is lmao) so you get more accurate shot = higher chance that you win a fight
They are expensive and hard to keep alive. They require a lot of babysitting and are quickly hanged up on in team games. It’s certainly viable if you have the micro ability to handle it.
Imo the comet is a bit op, i put 4 pz iv against it, it killed all 4 and lived with zero support, i flanked with 3 of the panzers and they were bouncing the rear armor. Later on, 2 stugs and 3 pak guns. Every single shot bounced and i lost the stugs. That one tank legit cost me the entire game, made me salty af.

Yes if your standing in the open but if you can use cover especially heavy cover jesus those inf section deadly

The soviet's Guard's vision blocking ability also makes the vehicle slower
Great video ! Thank you so much
it makes me anxious to see how you float in resources without being used
Bad habit, mainly when I don’t feel threatened on the battlefield though.
I think the Brits are the most fun to use,so many upgrades etc...

engineers also get a pretty fast light machinegun
when i apply skins for my tank it doesnt apply in the game so if you know how to fix plz tell me

What is the knife icon on the cover indicator?
It shows they have activated their “Attack Bonus” for being in cover. An ability only given to UKF Infantry Sections and OST Osttruppen.
Should have shown off Piats and maybe the Bofors garrison ability.
Ah the meme Piat.... Even morr cancer than Skrek

TheOis1984 it is a support gun that has a VERY long range just like the Jackson. It’s meant to support pushes rather then lead them.
it gets easly beaten by jagpanzer and stug because of firerate
