A buddy of mine got me into CoH2 recently and I am really struggling to learn, so this is very helpful. Also I can really respect you trying to convey mechanics and abilites while the utter chaos of the game is going on, gave me a few good chuckles aswell as you were juggling everything that was going on. Appreciate this and im sure the rest of the series aswell!

Yea the shift+click is really helpful. I only found out when randomly reading the tips on the loading screen.

when one actually looks at the map all game in last game and noticed the green computer actually did more than the player
A common occurrence you’ll see from quitters. They just don’t have the fighting spirit that war demands.
As Soviet, if you have engineer dedicated to repair task, upgrade minesweeper on them so they repair faster.
I'm pretty sure only Wehrmacht and OKW get faster repair from the minesweeper upgrade.
Edit: My bad, looked at the tool tip in game seems you were right.

If you like big boom 💥 then lay a Mine and put a Demo charge on top. The aoe damage when the mine goes off will act as auto trigger to the demo charge and the damage of mine + charge stacks.
You can almost one shot a panther and you will kill a LOT of units
Demo charges are now visible without minesweepers, so that doesn’t work quite like it use too.
Seriously? Whats the Point in Using them then? But at least now i unterstand Why you plant them behind objects

Awesome video. Appreciate your determination in sticking with the game in the 2nd match after someone quit. Just a fyi, at 45:50, it’s order 227/ not 221, that you were going for in that speech of yours. Order 227 was the “Not a step back!" order for Soviet soldiers retreating in combat.

I only have 400 hours of COH2 and your video helped me a lot i am still struggling with AI, I win standard, but not difficult

@@hectorflorespauner3404 Yes, I neglected to say how the Soviets do it. Got distracted. When you click the 'Tier' 0 building, you'll see the medics as an upgrade on the side (just to the left of the abilities grid).

Playing Soviets is like playing 1/1 tokens in MTG. Spawn many, don't care if they die, overwhelm opponent.
everytime i play with randoms vs AI team there is always one teammate that starts attacking me and destroys my units with aoe attacks.

IIRC they changed one of the US DAMAGING callins (I think the butterfly cluster bomb one) to use green smoke to confuse the enemy. I actually thought green smoke just meant friendly callins and red smoke was your callins or enemy callins. I was gonna also bring up you can use A-move to destroy de-crewed vehicles but you already covered it. You can do it to enemy AT guns and mortars. You can also right click soldiers crawling on the ground to shoot them, which you should do if you notice them since dying soldiers still provide enemy vision and can even set off mines wasting them. You can also push space to send the camera to where notifications are happening.
Will you be able to make a video focusing on mechanical skills? Like hotbutton usage? I notice you cycle through your units really fast.

Best advice from the pros:
You see a horse - you barb-wire the horse!
(To deny the opponent medium cover of course!)
New players will typically get free commanders and 1or2 rare or uncommon commanders, which is the case for me when i started 3yrs ago. The rest can be purchased in game or real world money if ur impatient
I think they changed it a while ago so that new players start with some supply now instead and can buy the commanders they want.

I got a weird start on COH2 cause my first game was with budies, with all units unlocked, 2x resources and 300 popcap and now I'm physically incapable of doing anything else. Which is mostly fine cause I realy only play with friends on custom games

I never played this game online and I dont know any of those intricacies of this game. I played like a few singleplayer skirmishes and campaigns and get my ass handed to me. I started to watch a few beginners friendly vids and thats how got to you so I know the importance to saving the units because of the veterancy and that it is cheaper than to raise a new squad. And I must say: Man 22:12 this was fucking mean what you did to him :-D

SU85 ability does not increase range. It increases sight and makes it into a frontal cone. Was detrimental in this situation as you wanted to keep up with the Sturmtiger, because the ability also makes the SU85 slower.
What do you mean though, it helped me kill the Sturm while keeping back from the Panthers? Only needed because I didn't have any other sight givers.

You can find unit stats online if you dig around, but it's hard to find ones that are always up to date and have all correct information. I use this www.coh2-stats.com/ you can at least get a rough idea. Experience really is the best way to learn how good units are, but I do like looking at the numbers sometimes.

What I saw from my experience was Skippy doing some great unit managing while the germans were just spamming Obersoldaten, Panzergranadiers and then Panthers and Tigers.
I love this game, I really do, but I hate how the german factions can just throw some tanks in the equation and win every battle, because "GeRmAnS hAd tHe BeSt aRmOr oF tHe WaR!!"

Soviets don't get bunkers; only 1 of the commanders offers that as an option.

Skippy what would you recommend as a good USSR anti armour unit against the wermacht for early game against light armour? The penals with upgraded a.t rifles using resources or the elite guards squad using commanders ability?
Guard Rifles, hands down. They are good multi-purpose and have had a lot of luck in 1v1 finishing off vehicles, even Panzer IV’s. They have a “button” ability that slows down tanks and prevents them from firing as well.

Unfortunately, no. That’s as wide as it gets.
I just try this game for about 3 days..... and still got stomped in 4v4 againts standard AI
it do be like that. as someone who got instantly thrown into 4v4 with my friend and being almost useless, it's normal to have negative kd and really bad plays. but the longer I played, the better I got and now I'm up to positive kd and can actually push enemies back to their base and destroy their base even though I don't use mortars or paks. well, that's a rare case and only happened twice.
