Just for clarification on the rules of the monster, closing the front door would not stop the monster from getting in, as the monster inhabits the house itself. The bedroom is the only safe room in the house between 10:04pm to 8:13am, and as he made it into the bedroom and shut the door just in time, he would've been too late if he spent even half a second closing and locking the front door.
why did he even go home? just crash at someone else's place
if it's a curse that he has to be there every night, then my god why leave the house anytime near that time. you got huge problems if that's the case

So that room is the only safe place for Jack now, inside the house and outside, so he can’t just easily move or stay somewhere else.
I also have it in my head that Jack has stayed in his house for months and his friend finally got him out of the house to a party, and Jack simply lost track of time, which sets up the short
I really liked this one. Good acting, fine colours, good camera work, storytelling provided by post-its, the story itself....you´re on the right way...

That was fantastic. I sat on the edge of my seat the whole time and told him not to open the door, lol. Great short story, perfectly filmed, the music was wonderfully nerve-wracking and the monster wasn't the screaming thing with a thousand teeth that we see so often, but refreshingly different, but no less horrifying. Thanks for the great video!

I don't buy it. Another horror film where a character makes bad decisions.
1 - He leaves front door open running in, knowing he has to shut the door. (You know, at 10:04).
2 - He calls his friend, whose voice he hears on the other side of the door. But, opens the door before his friend answers the call.
1) So the rules only apply to the bedroom since the monster inhabits the house itself
2) Definitely a stupid thing for him to do which I was aware of lol but can write it off as not thinking clearly in a high stress situation. Besides, Jack didn’t make it known he was going to call his friend and yet the ringing started right on time. Also, this is the first time the monster ever impersonated someone Jack knows, so the ringing itself was enough confirmation for him at the moment

I liked it and it's good but it doesn't make sense. Why did he run to his bedroom leaving his front door open, wouldn't it be better to shut and lock the front door? As he gets into the house, he's already in at 10:03. Surely it's better to have the whole house to yourself than just a small bedroom.

He was possibly drunk, hit someone , didn't stick around to see if they were ok, victim possibly died. Now the spirit of the deceased or even death is coming to claim him too. Maybe he also died at the accident, when he left the party

… not at all. It’s simply a monster/creature that inhabits the house he lives in and you have to follow specific rules to survive.

great premise, but there was no justification in the story for him to open the door so soon. i understand that the phone rang at the same time, but the monster is obviously supernatural and not everything is known about it, so it could have an ability to see the main character inside his room or predict his actions. for him to open the door it would make sense to have a time skip or a monologue montage of him stuck in his room over multiple nights, the monster slowly chipping away at his resolve until he welcomes death. that would be much scarier and more believable.
This definitely isn’t Jack’s first night dealing with the monster, the short just takes place on his last. So he was slowly learning what it can/can’t do, but the monster had been deceiving him since day one
