  • I've had a lot of people ask me how to get a floor structure done in a rat rod, so we decided to show you how I pretty much do all my floors when I build. This happens to be my buddy's 1946 Ford Truck that he's working on that we've used in the past to showcase some tips. Hope this helps.

    Hello, I have a cab similar to yours, The passenger side rocker panel is gone and the driver side one end broke off while moving the cab around. Also my cab has no floor. So the cab is all jack up. After watching this video I will put the cab up on the table, square it up and fab the floor frame like yours in this video. The only thing is that I will use 1 x 2 on the back cross piece ILO the 1" sq. My thought is that I believe mounting the seat belts to the 1 x 2 would be better. Other than this, Great Job and yes this video does help me get my mind set on how to do my floor on my 35 Dodge cab. Thank You!

    The only thing that welds better than 70 year old rusted metal, is 80 year old rusted metal. LOL!! I built a Rat Rod using a 35 Ford pickup cab. It had solid rockers, believe it or not. Very cool.

    Hey I have a 32 Plymouth sedan. The floor is in great shape. I want tuck frame into it. Have you ever cut out the floor and reused it? As in cut as close to edge as possible then weld the 1x2 outer and reweld floor to that?

    • @VillageCustoms
      @VillageCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep. Thats how you channel a normal car.

      Thank you. I’ve been overthinking since I haven’t found a video of something simple. Usually it’s full floor. And I’m like but my floor is perfect. Just needs a rear section lift and a couple inches higher. Thank you.
