- I left the city of Gdansk to one of Poland's most underrated cities in the north of the country. Bydgoszcz is a city in northern Poland, straddling the meeting of the River Vistula with its left-bank tributary, the Brda.
In this episode, I spent 12 hours in Bydgoszcz before heading to the city of Poznan.

Bydgoszcz is beautiful and green. A lot of Amazing palaces to walk.
Bydgoszcz is definitely not a tourist city, but if someone wants to see what a typical Polish city looks like and how people live, this is a good choice.

So I went to Bydgoszcz and found it absolutely delightful. Also, I'd like to thank you very much for pointing the A'Favela Restaurant. We ate almost every day and since then we're in love with crepioca :)

Bydgoszcz has changed dramatically in the past 20 years. I lived there years ago. Some neighborhoods were dangerous (I lived in one and saw shit :P ). Still one of my favorite places in Poland.

I always have a break in Bydgoszcz when I visit Poland each year. I used to fly into Krakow. Now I fly to Bydgoszcz and it's a bit more central for train travel 😊

I make burgers at home, they cost 2 times cheaper than in MC and they are much tastier than in MC, plus I can make burgers with whatever I want. Recently I was given a double MacRoyale as a gift, I forced myself to eat it because it was a waste of money, it tasted terrible and I felt bad afterwards because the MC hamburger simply does not digest in the stomach. I saw a video of them trying to dissolve the MC hamburger in acid the hamburger turned into one sticky black mush that wouldn't dissolve it looked like a slime monster
I also make Foccatia at home, a yeast pizza base that I spend half an hour on, including washing, because the dough rises in the fridge and then I bake it

Any thoughts on whether a veggie or even vegan diet is possible for travellers to Poland
Yes, it’s possible 😊 At least for vegetarian diet. Not sure about vegan though (I was never interested in this one, so I’ve never looked for it).
Products in supermarkets are usually marked if they are suitable for vegetarians (at least in Biedronka chain).
In case of restaurants, I think the rule is that the bigger the city - the bigger variety of veggie/vegan restaurants to choose from.
You can also go to the normal restaurants (not specialized in vege). Most of them should have some kind of vege dishes to choose from.
Even in traditional polish cuisine there are some vegetarian dishes. Sometimes you can find them grouped under “dania jarskie” name - it’s an older name for dishes without meat (before word “vegetarian” gained popularity). Examples: some variations of pierogi (i.e. pierogi ruskie, pierogi z serem, pierogi z truskawkami), sałatka jarzynowa (veggie salad), potato pancakes, Pyry z gzikiem (potato dish, native to an area around Poznań city) etc.

Bydgoszcz doesn't have too much offering like other cities and towns, but it's a really beatiful and have a few really interesting places.

Bydgoszcz mocno leci w rozwój biznesu więc co chwilę są nowe miejsca pracy w biurach,w logistyce i na produkcji również oferty pracy się nie kończą. Z usługami już trochę większy problem ale jak się ma doświadczenie to raczej luz.

First of all, I think if you’re going to do a video on this wonderful city you should know how to say it - Bid go-sh. I’ve been to Poland every year for 3 decades and Bydgoszcz is charming and my favorite. People DO speak English there, of course not as many as in Warsaw. You needed someone to take you on a tour, not hang in alleys dude, lol.
Its actually bidgoshch, my wife is from there I have family there,we lived there 6 years. Nice place to visit but not live.

Poland's public transportation system, even in smaller cities, puts the US transit system to shame. This video would be so much better if the sound quality was improved. How? The audio needs to be re-mixed. Why? The narrator's voice is muffled, at times difficult to understand, especially when the background music volume is louder.
