I'm so glad Alien 3 and Promeyheus are not your last places. To be honest, I like all Alien films. I think each one adds something new and fresh to the lore. Alien 3 has introduced royal facehuggers and the DNA change ability of xenomorphs which are widely used in every Alien novel, video game, comic story, film, TV show.
Great content............Prometheus for what it was a part of the Xeno universe is decent could have done something, but Covenant was just weird and off. Fingers crossed for Romulus can't wait. The foundation / lore is there to pull from 1979 ALIEN it can be explored and pulled from outside of the ridiculous David nonsense and my name is David LOL
I completely agree with what you're saying about where the Xenomorphs came from. I prefer thinking that they are a life form that is just out there, and hate the David storyline. Mostly agree with this list. Resurrection is bottom for me, it's dreadful in every way. I'd probably have Alien 3 above Prometheus (Loved it at first as I wanted to like it so much but over time I've gone right off it - the characters are so annoying) but yeah - Only the first two (and I hope Romulus) are truly great.
That David story totally kills the terrifying mystery of them. Agreed Resurrection is a tough watch, crossing my fingers that Romulus is up there with the first two🤞

I totally respect Alien 3 for not copying and pasting the formulas from Alien and Aliens, and just doing its own thing
Alien and Aliens are truly two of the best movies I've seen, can't wait for Romulus hope its amazing!
