      One of my favorite movies, top 5, and Vincent D’Onofrio is amazing in everything but full metal jacket. It's the only role I think he was poorly cast in though. Which is weird since Kubrick in my opinion almost always cast his actors perfectly. I always thought Vincent overacted. I suspect it's due to bad direction. Kubrick could never see anything but what he wanted to see.

    • @boethjelle8769
      @boethjelle8769 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@thomasgriffin2326 Stanley Kubrick directed another really famous film that would have been out a long time by the time they were making "Full Metal Jacket" called "Spartacus." At the end of Spartacus, a lot of people who aren't Spartacus stand up and claim to be him in this epic move of solidarity to protect their fellow slave? Gladiator? I honestly haven't seen the movie I just know the reference. So basically Kubrick was accidentally recreating a scene from one of his most famous movies and a clever British extra rose to the occasion and yelled Stanley's own movie quote back at him, prompting everyone else to do the same in a perfect replica of the actual scene from the movie Spartacus.
      Hope that helps.
