@@Krachkint I used to love reading the space marine codex's when I was a kid, this was back in like 1999-2004. Used to be so many cool lore stories, excerpts, artwork and other stuff. Often wondered if the old ones have PDF copies somewhere online. Still got the old school Rogue Trader too from the early days of 'space elves' and 'squats' lol.
An many pc´s that will start to burn down just starting this game. Performance wise im not so sure if this will work out on an avarage pc 3060 ti pc spec for example.

Imagine an actual complete game with single player, coop campaign and multiple multiplayer modes in 2024. This is probably a day 1 buy for me and I don't do that much these days.

Lorewise, yes, but the *gameplay* looks like a clunkier Gears. Which is a shame, Astartes are much faster than this in the lore.
The game that came out 5 years earlier than space marine 1 was inspired by space marine 1? Or do you not understand what we mean? The gameplay is certainly gears inspired, gears is certainly inspired by warhammers universe, but Space Marine gameplay is inspired by gears or even god of war
I believe the world building owes a LOT to Warhammer 40k. Comparing and contrasting the world of Gears with 40k, the story writer has some influence from somewhere.

@@troub1337 that's a Dreadnought, more specifically that is a Redempter Dreadnought. Also, Space Marines don't pilot Titans. The only legion to have piloted Titans were some Imperial Fists and not War Hounds or World Eaters.

@@Mikeochan2 Gears of war was partially inspired by warhammer. And the first space marine felt like it was gameplay wise inspired by gears of war. Done a full circle.

Audio was off in the beginning of the clips, but this is looking pretty sweet. I like there's a multiplayer campaign.

From the game play I watched..admittedly over 20 times lol. It looks like there was a quick clip of a dreadnought. Oh man here’s to hoping I’m right. This team has a chance to reallly put it down and shine a bright light for the Emperor!

As development progresses, subtle changes can be seen in the gameplay (sometimes not so subtle), especially in the graphics. Not that this is a bad thing, if they want the game to reach as many audiences as possible.
Lets just hope this game launches in a good state ^^

This game is gonna be my first experience with anything in the Warhammer universe. What books would you guys recommend to start off with so i can become more familiarized with the lore?

Leviathan was TERRIBLE. You want a good tyranid story that actually feels like 40K, try The Devastation of Baal. The Uriel Ventris Chronicles might be a better starting point though.

So I have not at all played Warhammer 40k nor dove into the story of the genre at all, but this game looks awesome. For someone like me thats never experienced Warhammer 40k would it be wise to get this game or should I wait to understand whats going on in the story and gameplay prior?

3:37 Your allies should start shooting at you if you enter the game with a few of those symbols on your armor; I'm seeing Iron Warriors, Night Lords, World Eaters, and Alpha Legion symbols there, all *traitor* legions, lol.
Also Titus should start saying "I am Alpharius" if you wear that hydra symbol.
I wish Mark Strong returned as the voice actor for Titus.
I know ultramarines are the so call face of the game.. But I play the space wolves! Please have other space marines chapters!
I’m pretty sure you can customize your space marine as different chapters in the multiplayer
If the game does well and produces a 3rd game, then there might be a chance for a game with space wolves

@@Sinistah665if you look at the customization you see pre-set skins for space wolves, Salamanders, Black Templars, and one of the other lesser known chapters.
May need to watch that segment slows down some to see it.

From 8 - 10 min there is only background sound, thats also delayed (* more often actually) ... no fighting-feedback at all, strange for a presentation, but action looks fun.

I thought the same thing. Audio seems off
to be expected for early look gameplay though right? we never see the most up to date state of a game in development and there's still 3 months to go until release - I'd assume audio clutter is one of the later things to clear up.

Isn't there a largw variety of different races or factions that we can fight? Are we going to face Tyranids the entire game?
Tyranids and Thousand Sons so far... might have some others in the future if Saber's support of WWZ is anything to go by.
@@DanteVerde-pt9zc and depending on how well this does (we pray to the emperor it gets enough on release attention) DLC is completely possible!
Nids also have such a vast variety of units that we should so a super broad range of enemy types to fight throughout the campaign :D
I'd say the thousand sons will be a unique treat given that we never fought them in a third/first person shooter. Usually, it's the word bearers or world eaters.
Im pretty sure that gameplay demo was ripped from a 2 month old video. Wish it was new gameplay.

Looks very cool, BUT im absolutely no fan of these "stutters" after each melee attack, it just looks weird and interrupts the battle flow. These should only take place for executions imo.

Both the animations and audio to be honest are pretty mediocre.
Compared to Darktide, yes, the gun sound effects in this new game are extremely lackluster.

There will be a linear campaign and a pvp mode. Warhammer 40K Darktide is similar to helldivers.

Dude this is massive, enemy variety is off the charts, level detail is way too high, Story telling looks fantastic, and we even got Tzeentch demons could this mean a Lord of Change bossfight?!?!?!. I cant wait to fight carnifexes and Lictors and Raveners, Rubric Marines and demon engines, Helldrakes and chaos demons. oooh this is gonna be good

This games PVP looks miles better than what Gears Of War has been doing, very very promising. Glad it doesn't seem to be a rolling , wall hugging simulator.

Day one buy for me
Gears and this are kinda hard for me to understand why wearing bulletproof armor with mostly no helmet on. It's a perfect headshot from enemy perspective.

Besides the plot armor that a ultramarine without a helmet has, no idea. Luckily we will get a option to put a helmet on, or off as we please in the campaign.
@@lordnazar6382 it would be more fun to give more option to on and off the underwear part of the armor too, leaving the ultramatine with an exposed pants while all the other parts of armor still intact haha.
If you have your helmet off chances are you are an officer of some kind and more than likely have an invulnerable shield. Base marines do not have that. In lore those shields take a punishing amount of fire before disengaging so they are relying on it in place of the helmet.
Also SM basically have heavy duty bullet proofing so anything other than a bolter or higher is not going to kill them helmet or not. Against bolters the helmet is a coin flip if it saves you.
This isnt like gears. Melee executions regen your health.

This could be a destiny 2 killer if they do this right, and make it a looter shooter mmo.
