    Mystery solved! We got a reply from Alonso of Twitter. He says, "@ChessbaseIndia Artemiev played the same and the good one is e6 d5, but it's quite boring, so I played the same risky way with e5. :P."

    Probably because Artemiev played the same move against Alonso 2 rounds earlier...

    Everyone listen- He laughed earlier because he knew Big Vlad will have the last laugh.☺️

    I would watch the game but the headshake duel is far more interesting. Kramnik's technique is excellent and Alonso favours activity.

    Firmar el papelito después de un blitz es una regla absurda.

    Both the players made super rapid moves and instantly pressed the clock button after their moves, right from the start. Maybe this was the reason why he chuckled.

    Question: What is the FIDE policy/rule on laughing? Anybody know? His laughter was barely audible and seemed rather friendly so I guess that's okay...but where does one draw the line?

    • @Xmel-chel
      @Xmel-chel 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The opponent can call an orbiter if he considers that the opponent distracts him from thought. No complaints - no conflicts and no need to draw a line.

    He's a nut...he was trying to be intimidating. He figured if Anand could spend 2 minutes thinking of a move in blitz, then he could as well. Doesnt work like that. Not against experience like Vlad

    Why the cry after queen takes rook?

    • @FlukyChannel
      @FlukyChannel 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because the other rook is pinned by the bishop and it can't capture back the queen. Basically, he simply lost the rook with no compensation.
