    These a truly special videos. Listening to Schumann’s work on the actual piano that some of this music might have been composed on is like being in a time machine to a very important musical past. Thank you for making these videos.

      Repent and trust in Jesus. He's the only way. We deserve Hell because we've sinned. Lied, lusted stolen, etc. But God sent his son to die on the cross and rise out of the grave. We can receive forgiveness from Jesus. Repent and put your trust in him.

    Clara Schumann's composition output stopped because of her struggle for Robert, for their seven children and for her most impressive career as a concert pianist to keep up the family after Robert's early death. Today we still can appreciate the beautiful pieces she wrote as a girl and a young woman. Your intuitional and artistic way of getting into the composer's mind and your fantastic playing help us to do that.

    You are so damn talented it almost discourages me from becoming a pianist. The colors you bring into your playing and the control in your playing is just spectacular. You know exactly what to bring out in your playing, what the composers were thinking in each measure, and which emotions to bring out where and when. I geniuenly think you are one of the best of this generation

      What structure have designed Clara in that piece? What's the harmony behind it? If you really appreciate this piece, you can easily answer this sort of questions.
      Otherwise you're just a dilettante.

    • @SE013
      @SE013 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@JP-ku5hw I'm surprised by such cynicism and bitterness. It is totally uncalled for when someone is genuinely expressing their subjective appreciation. Furthermore, you should take a closer look into philosophy of aesthetics in order to better understand what type of position you are claiming to hold, and how that is not the only valid perspective. Appreciation of art, explanation of art, creation of art...all these concepts are inseparable from ontological, epistemological, and existential questions of the world that require vigorous analysis. Delving into them would probably enable you to become a bit more humble and generous towards others (and towards yourself).

    • @JP-ku5hw
      @JP-ku5hw 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SE013 Well, I'm afraid you got the wrong end of the stick. I'm just claiming that the musical theory and the structure of a piece are connected in some sense. Of course you can enjoy a piece without those factors, but you'll deeply understand a piece when you identify this sort of details).
      But that's true. I didn't read a degree in philosophy at University and my questions were about a certain MUSICAL aspect (rhythm, harmony, structure...), not about philosophical and subjective problems..

    • @superkalifragilistisch6511
      @superkalifragilistisch6511 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@JP-ku5hw Are you really think someone will answer this question? When a person says how much he like something, and then you just randomly say: If you can't answer this question you don't apprechiate it. It's senseless.
      Please, as Tiffany everytime says, be kind. Seems like many people are not kind to you, but you shouldn't be the same to other people.

    Wow! Absolutely amazing, Tiffany! What a special experience it must be to play this piece on a piano Clara herself once owned. I really enjoyed your reflection towards to end of the video; I think your words speak to the kind of musician you are. To be able to acknowledge some of the misgivings you had about Clara's nocturnes in comparison to Chopin's, and then to be able to learn, grow, and perform them at this high of a level is a testament to not only your musicianship, but to the kind of person you are.
    As a clarinetist, I do not get to perform a lot of works by either of the Schumanns. However, through my additional piano studies, I've begun to understand them more and appreciate the genius of their music. I hope to keep learning and growing, just like you! :)

For my instance I don't know how to play piano but I sing and that is my passion. Even my ex wanted me to sing for here everyday. If I only knew how to play piano. That's a great combination.

Reminiscent of things to come in the future and being okay with things of the past. Love the way you adapted your playing to this venerable old instument.
    I love the beautiful delicacy of some of her music here - quite original. It might not have the stucture of Chopin or Bach and I might like to add a couple of notes here or there which I never would with the other two, but I love playing this youthful and soulful piece. As you say, it is important to have the humility to play it the way she wrote it, and try to understand her ideas. She was a very gifted composer in my opinion...
