I hope so. They can see that people want dragon riding. Before the game released, I was actually expecting it, because I'd heard that we rescue a dragon egg as part of a quest, but then what we actually do with the egg was a big disappointment to me. (I won't say what happens, since it's a spoiler.)
Ok that dragon mod is a must have. The way that dragons moves in the air is so majestic. PS: Sponsor part took me off guard I really thought someone modded an air drone into the game instead of the broom.
Actually that also exists, I've seen mods that change broom into a jet fighter, a UFO, and more crazy stuff. Broom mods are where the craziest things are being done, funny enough I didn't even consider that the mounts are a good asset to mod until I saw this video.
My current favourite mod is the companion mod. Some of the lines that the characters say during quests you couldn't originally bring them on just proves that it was a cut feature 😢
I want to dl that mod so bad but I hesitant to mess with the save files and all the external stuff if it were a simple drop this file in this folder situation I'd do it in a heartbeat

Having magic in a fantasy world is very convenient as it can make pretty much anything possible

There's an addon that uses your microphone and the default voice recognition system of Windows in order to listen for commands that the person previously set up. The spell needs to be slotted in one position of the available spell sets. For example, my F4 set is: Wingardium Leviosa, Lumos, Reparo and Disillusionment. If I say "Lumos", even If I have currently selected my set F1, it changes to F4 and activates the 2 key, which is the position of Lumos. It adds to the immersion, but also helps with spell set switching during combat.

Both are 3rd party software instead of proper addons you install with Vortex of manually, so Windows Defender or any other anti virus might pick it up as malicious software. The creators explain how to use them.

Idk if the devs plan on updating the game with more features. But a wanted system is the single biggest thing i would like to see. Using unforgivable curses should be no joke. Although i'd prefer a game-over screen instead of ending your entire playthrough by sending you to Azkaban. Just for the sake of keeping the game fun. It would also be cool to see a curfew at nighttime. I'm a bit surprised it's not in the game. The curfew was even demonstrated in one of the missions with Sebastian Sallow. In the forbidden library section. A curfew system, wanted system, and a way to go to sleep. All of this would make the game perfect.
10000%. I guess I get the idea of devs wanting "your talent choices to matter/have to think about it" but it's unnecessarily punishing. Even WoW had respeccing back in the day. I talked to someone who legit didn't buy the game until that mod came out.
I actually liked that it isnt. It Made me drop my first playthrough but if you know it from the start it enhances your playthrough because for example i skill into forbidden spells so that means for quite some time i have to play the game without having the "improved spells". I mean in meadium it doesnt Matter at all but at hard it makes the early game a little bit more difficult before you are lvl 22 wich i liked

I actually think it's good it doesn't exist in the game, and if it did it should be limited to once per save. You probably are only thinking about "oh I didn't know it was like this, I actually didn't want this perk", but what this mod does is that it allows you to just cheese everything out with perks. you can just buff the Stealth tree and then reset whenever you don't need it. I prefer the added difficulty of having to make choices and living with poor ones because the game is already too easy as it is.
I think the biggest fail was not looking to AC for some of the inspo like having companion pets, wanted systems, NPC interactions when they’re angry for killing citizens/merc, etc. I haven’t played the game yet but from what I can see, these updates are what people wanted
completed the game weeks ago and yeah you’re right. The game is actually extremely boring once you’ve completed it, the npc’s are basically copy and paste all over and the world isn’t really that interesting. Not to mention there’s like 0 immersion such as the dorms being completely empty at night for whatever reason. I can’t help but feel like the devs have no idea what an rpg is because some of the missing aspects were an obvious desire for virtually everyone. I do hope you have fun, but personally I’ve never been THIS bored in an rpg after completion since I look forward to completing the story most so I can just do whatever I want
Please revamp the Forbidden Forest. Make it massive, completely dark, disable any map markers, disable map completely in it, remove teleporters, add real monsters, add mysterious stuff, add random events. also, add crouch stealth mechanics to the game
I gotta say that i just couldnt bare playing with this mod - It just feels like the most ridiculous hormonal problem ever, where hormones somehow cause you to grow a effing Kratos beard, but for some pathological reason - didn't change your voice. Simply because of the voice not changing, i felt like playing a kid with a fake costume beard...

It's a magical world where mythical creatures roam the land, and wizards and witches can literally conjure just about anything they might want/need with a single wave of a wand. It's really not that farfetched to believe that someone created a spell to grow facial hair. As far as the voice is concerned, I'm not a huge fan of the male voice for the protagonist to begin with, so that's not really something I care about one way or the other. It is what it is. But to each his own. That's the beauty of single player games. 🤷🏿♂️

If anything, i feel like many gameplay elements that seem out of place in other games feel natural in this one, because in this universe it does make sense to see enemies through walls or become so hard to see when right in front of enemies, or to juggle enemies in the air like physics just dont care. :)
Hopefully being able to kill any npc will be in the next game because something like the wanted system would be interesting. Or just having the NPC attack us like in Elden Ring. Mods are reasons why I’m still debating getting a steam deck even though I don’t really have the gaming library needed to make it worth it.

I want a FOV mod to see more when I'm outside the castle. It makes sense to have a closer FOV when going down tight hallways but not when flying around or fighting enemies in the field.
I thought we would be able to ride a dragon and maybe have it in the beast room when the page posted a question about being friends with the dragon. I was looking forward to it the most. Didn't get much interaction in the game unfortunately.
In Harry Potter canon dragons are not pets or creatures you fly around on, nor would they ever be ok with that. You can become friends with hippogriffs and they'll let you ride them if they respect you. But riding on a dragon is the equivalent to riding around on a centaur in the HP universe - both are fiercely proud and independent creatures. So that's why this makes less sense in the base game since that actually has to stick to canon. And before you say that the trio did it in the books/movie that's because that was an enslaved dragon that was literally escaping and didn't have much of a choice, but even they knew they had to get the hell off that dragon before it reached land because it would not be happy with them...

I really wish the game would have had a companion system where you can bring 1-2 two companions with you as you travel, it would have helped with immersion in not just traveling alone all the time as a student
I've been playing hogwarts since day 1 early release and I have done so much exploring and stuff I haven't finished the main story yet it's insane I've got over 70 hrs still not done
Not being able to kill normal NPCs and not having a wanted system in the base game was some bull shit. How could you learn dark magic but not have that? Zero immersion on being a dark wizard. Total immersion on being a dark pansy.
I have a problem with the morality issue of unforgivable curses. Avada kedavera is a painless death and that's unforgivable but you could drown, burn, dismember, the possibilities are endless with magic and that's all negotiable? Same goes for crucio, there are hundreds of ways to torture a person but crucio which leaves no marks or lasting medical conditions or wounds is unforgivable? Molly used something really similar to the killing curse on Bellatrix and that's ok? Why is it ok to use things like love potions or Felix felicious to take advantage of people but not the imperious curse? I'm all for frowning on murder, torture, and exploitation as much as the next guy, it just seems like the Wizarding world missed the mark on that. The three unforgivable curses would be the only ones humane enough to employ as self defense. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.
You technically could escape Azkaban if you are an animagus, or perhaps made the right friends on the outside to bust ya out, or maybe accepting the end power that made others nervous. Its unknown magic. They can teach it in school and you use requirement room, perhaps get so assistantance by another student say that already can do it or wants to do it, and then Weasley growing curious and asking about your studies. Perhaps she finds out and ask well you let ministry know and you say its best not so you continue your work, or maybe later, or simply no, which makes her grow more skeptical but respect your reasons, depending on how you use it. I find it odd that after hours at school they don't have consequences for being out of bed and sneaking around or outside, or make more use of your dorm. Something else i would have appreciated in game is taking or losing wand so I can see ollivsnders again or different power effects from wand use.
If you had prior learnt the patronus the dementors wouldn't be an issue. There is wandless magic in wizards world according to one female npc companion.

This always boggled my mind. How do modders always make the game 1,000 times better with just simple mods. For example "multiplayer" an they did it so quickly. Portkey didn't think: "Man I'm sure two friends would love to play together in this game they've waited decades for....nah we'll keep it single player only"
@BigBruh I mean Far cry had great story as well but they still had a "drop-in, drop-out" system for friends. Yeah it doesn't have to MAKE SENSE but people just want to play with friends. Most don't care about story.

To think...all of those people who paid extra for the deluxe edition of the game in order to get a thestral mount. Now there's free dragon mount mods available for any PC player. Bad financial decision, my friends. 😆
Also with PC modding is the ability to script commands onto commendable keys and mouse buttons. With enough available command keys you can have all spell slots one press away, taking away the necessity of switching sets with F1-4 and adding more immersion to the combat. For example: Command M3 to enter F2, wait 10ms, enter 1, end.
I use my mouse wheel to scroll through spell sets, and it is still annoying. a regular action bar would be nice so I could dump all of my situational ones off-key and map combat stuff to the numbers. My mouse has 12 keys on the side that make action bar use amazing.
You don't need a lore explanation for the beards, I got you. Personal experience here: I had a friend back in high school - he was fifteen. Well we called him Ritter, and he was a hairy boy for his age. Like full on adult beard and hair from his head to his toes. He even made a joke one time when we had a big foot sighting in the area and said something like "Who has cameras on my walking path?". He was a funny guy, and then he moved out of state out of high school and I haven't heard from him since. So it is possible for a 15 year old boy to have the beard of a full grown man.

Considering we have levitation animations in the game, I'm surprised no one has made a solo flight mod for the broom. Or even an animagus mod for the Graphorn mount.

It's honestly just... crazy how much this game doesn't have in it. Game looks great plays good, combat early-mid game is fun, late game is boring with curse combo. Story was very mid (is it just me?) Sebastian's side arc was way more interesting than the main story. All the side content gets very repetitive and boring 15-20 hours in. I really wished they put a little more thought into this game. Hoping for a new and improved sequel.
anyone whom gets warthunder, as a day one player, ill give you one piece of advice, stay away from any premium jet until youre lvl 75 or above, you simply just dont understand the game yet and have no clue what youre doing against different planes or situations, youll end up getting dumped on an hating the game because you mostly just die without doing anything.
Build this story up with dlc's and extra story content to the point where you can release a full game where we get to play as a professor version of our character tasked to protect hogwarts and our students with acquired knowledge throughout the games

It's the addition of beards for me. That was the first thing I was missing during the character creator. Too bad I don't play on PC. 😞

It just feels like the most ridiculous hormonal problem ever, where hormones somehow cause you to grow a effing Kratos beard, but for some pathological reason - didn't change your voice.
Simply because of the voice not changing, i felt like playing a kid with a fake costume beard...

It's a magical world where mythical creatures roam the land, and wizards and witches can literally conjure just about anything they might want/need with a single wave of a wand. It's really not that farfetched to believe that someone created a spell to grow facial hair. As far as the voice is concerned, I'm not a huge fan of the male voice for the protagonist to begin with, so that's not really something I care about one way or the other. It is what it is. But to each his own. That's the beauty of single player games. 🤷🏿♂️

If anything, i feel like many gameplay elements that seem out of place in other games feel natural in this one, because in this universe it does make sense to see enemies through walls or become so hard to see when right in front of enemies, or to juggle enemies in the air like physics just dont care. :)

Hopefully being able to kill any npc will be in the next game because something like the wanted system would be interesting. Or just having the NPC attack us like in Elden Ring. Mods are reasons why I’m still debating getting a steam deck even though I don’t really have the gaming library needed to make it worth it.

I want a FOV mod to see more when I'm outside the castle. It makes sense to have a closer FOV when going down tight hallways but not when flying around or fighting enemies in the field.
I thought we would be able to ride a dragon and maybe have it in the beast room when the page posted a question about being friends with the dragon. I was looking forward to it the most. Didn't get much interaction in the game unfortunately.

In Harry Potter canon dragons are not pets or creatures you fly around on, nor would they ever be ok with that. You can become friends with hippogriffs and they'll let you ride them if they respect you. But riding on a dragon is the equivalent to riding around on a centaur in the HP universe - both are fiercely proud and independent creatures. So that's why this makes less sense in the base game since that actually has to stick to canon.
And before you say that the trio did it in the books/movie that's because that was an enslaved dragon that was literally escaping and didn't have much of a choice, but even they knew they had to get the hell off that dragon before it reached land because it would not be happy with them...
@@mierothThe game literally invented a non-canon concept of ancient magic. Creating a friendly dragon would not have been as disastrous as you seem to be implying, in fact nobody would have even complained since that’s what literally everyone was asking for
The talent reset potion was a file already in the game that was disabled for some reason, the mod must have re-enabed it.
I really wish the game would have had a companion system where you can bring 1-2 two companions with you as you travel, it would have helped with immersion in not just traveling alone all the time as a student
If the devs had added a Dragon dlc for like $10 they would sell millions of copies. Seems like big missed opportunity for them.

I've been playing hogwarts since day 1 early release and I have done so much exploring and stuff I haven't finished the main story yet it's insane I've got over 70 hrs still not done

Not being able to kill normal NPCs and not having a wanted system in the base game was some bull shit. How could you learn dark magic but not have that? Zero immersion on being a dark wizard. Total immersion on being a dark pansy.
I have a problem with the morality issue of unforgivable curses.
Avada kedavera is a painless death and that's unforgivable but you could drown, burn, dismember, the possibilities are endless with magic and that's all negotiable? Same goes for crucio, there are hundreds of ways to torture a person but crucio which leaves no marks or lasting medical conditions or wounds is unforgivable?
Molly used something really similar to the killing curse on Bellatrix and that's ok?
Why is it ok to use things like love potions or Felix felicious to take advantage of people but not the imperious curse?
I'm all for frowning on murder, torture, and exploitation as much as the next guy, it just seems like the Wizarding world missed the mark on that.
The three unforgivable curses would be the only ones humane enough to employ as self defense.

You technically could escape Azkaban if you are an animagus, or perhaps made the right friends on the outside to bust ya out, or maybe accepting the end power that made others nervous. Its unknown magic. They can teach it in school and you use requirement room, perhaps get so assistantance by another student say that already can do it or wants to do it, and then Weasley growing curious and asking about your studies. Perhaps she finds out and ask well you let ministry know and you say its best not so you continue your work, or maybe later, or simply no, which makes her grow more skeptical but respect your reasons, depending on how you use it. I find it odd that after hours at school they don't have consequences for being out of bed and sneaking around or outside, or make more use of your dorm. Something else i would have appreciated in game is taking or losing wand so I can see ollivsnders again or different power effects from wand use.
If you had prior learnt the patronus the dementors wouldn't be an issue. There is wandless magic in wizards world according to one female npc companion.

This always boggled my mind. How do modders always make the game 1,000 times better with just simple mods. For example "multiplayer" an they did it so quickly. Portkey didn't think:
"Man I'm sure two friends would love to play together in this game they've waited decades for....nah we'll keep it single player only"
@BigBruh I mean Far cry had great story as well but they still had a "drop-in, drop-out" system for friends. Yeah it doesn't have to MAKE SENSE but people just want to play with friends. Most don't care about story.
Once you understand project management and budget you’ll have a different outlook on things. Modders are great because they don’t cost anything to the company. Games are really expensive man, especially nowadays.
Not everyone wants every game to be multiplayer.
There could be a choice between multiplayer and single player. That way everybody gets what they want.
This is a single player game. Play it modded with friends if you want, but there are very few points in the game where co-op makes sense story wise

To think...all of those people who paid extra for the deluxe edition of the game in order to get a thestral mount. Now there's free dragon mount mods available for any PC player. Bad financial decision, my friends. 😆
Also with PC modding is the ability to script commands onto commendable keys and mouse buttons.
With enough available command keys you can have all spell slots one press away, taking away the necessity of switching sets with F1-4 and adding more immersion to the combat.
For example:
Command M3 to enter F2, wait 10ms, enter 1, end.
I use my mouse wheel to scroll through spell sets, and it is still annoying. a regular action bar would be nice so I could dump all of my situational ones off-key and map combat stuff to the numbers. My mouse has 12 keys on the side that make action bar use amazing.

Personal experience here: I had a friend back in high school - he was fifteen. Well we called him Ritter, and he was a hairy boy for his age. Like full on adult beard and hair from his head to his toes. He even made a joke one time when we had a big foot sighting in the area and said something like "Who has cameras on my walking path?". He was a funny guy, and then he moved out of state out of high school and I haven't heard from him since. So it is possible for a 15 year old boy to have the beard of a full grown man.

For the morality mod, do the Auror clones spawn nonstop? Or if you manage to defeat them, does your notoriety drop back to normal levels like say grand theft auto?

LoL when you put up the war thunder clip, I thought modders added a drone mount. I had a hard time to hold back the giggles.
It's honestly just... crazy how much this game doesn't have in it. Game looks great plays good, combat early-mid game is fun, late game is boring with curse combo. Story was very mid (is it just me?) Sebastian's side arc was way more interesting than the main story. All the side content gets very repetitive and boring 15-20 hours in. I really wished they put a little more thought into this game. Hoping for a new and improved sequel.

anyone whom gets warthunder, as a day one player, ill give you one piece of advice, stay away from any premium jet until youre lvl 75 or above, you simply just dont understand the game yet and have no clue what youre doing against different planes or situations, youll end up getting dumped on an hating the game because you mostly just die without doing anything.
