Winter in Vermont by Video-Vermont

This video was shot in early January when Vermont was inundated with snow. It was a six week stretch of outstanding skiing and winter weather, all brought to and end by a powerful rain storm that swept through the sate on Monday, January 25th. Vermont in winter can be present one with some beautiful scenes, not to mention activities such as the magnificient Friesians of Majesty in Townshend, southern VT. I was raised in Bennington Native Vermonter. Live in Florida now. I get homesick a lot. Miss taking walks riding my bike on the beauiful back roads. So peaceful. . Hope one day I can vist Bennington again.

Haven't been back to Benninhton since the 70s because have no family left up in Bennington. They all passed on.But still I get homesick.

I live in the North Country and don't visit Florida anymore because all my family there has passed away. Live in up-State NY but many generations of my ancestors were in the North East Kingdom of VT. Retired myself now and thinking of moving there.

This is like a Hallmark movie except this is in the real world. The sleigh ride and the ice carving are outstanding. Why people would move to Florida or Arizona with all those unfriendly people inn those states is beyond me.

Beautiful place for sure but ...... I left Vt in "73 and never looked back. I live in NC now where it doesn't go much below +30 in the winter and NO SNOW !!!
