Lovely video. Do you even know they reason for cutting down a Christmas tree and doing things like putting a village underneath it? The act of cutting down a tree is in memory of the 200 giant trees that once were scattered across the plain of earth that were cut down by angels of lord which Enoch recorded. The village below it is a gentle reminder of how big the trees were in comparison to us. To this day there are still remnants of these giant trees and in some places just the stumps remain scattered everywhere across the entire earth for those with eyes to see. Peace be yours
"I deeply feel at home in the shadow of these mountains." As a born and bred Vermonter, I was in exile to Florida for 3 years before my partner could no longer tolerate my homesickness for my beloved Vermont and brought me home. The thing I missed the very most were the mountains. I believe that they become a part of us, always there, sheltering and grounding us. I will never leave them again.
My mother and I moved to Woodstock, Vermont in 1984. That summer, the summer of 1984, was the happiest summer of my life. I made a very beautiful garden at the cottage. We never had to lock our doors. My mother is dead now and I no longer live in Vermont. I wish I could go back but I can´t

I have always tried to enjoy Christmas since I was a kid but after age 6 it’s been nothing but sadness and depression. I do sincerely wish you all a Merry Christmas. I hope everyone is having a wonderful time with family and friends. God Bless you all. Sadness has to end sometime and I hope happiness is after.

I loved this video and Vermont which I visited many years ago on vacation. Your video was a visit of times gone by. It took me home to my childhood, living on a farm in North Carolina. Things were so simple back then. I'm going to make a garland with orange slices and pine cones, now that I know how to preserve them. Thank you for the wonderful visit to my past.

Hello dear, I know you have written this a year ago, but I just found this channel and came across your story. It will be November tomorrow and I hope you are doing good and regained your health and feeling much better than last year . Sending you love and prayers… Chantelle
Anxiety is awful but you can get over it and live a life with out fear, look up on TH-cam the documentary called Stressed E.N.T therapy I have tried every therapy available but this just hit the cord amazing, ❤
I agree with you this video is so peace invoking to me as well. I just found this channel and just now saw your comment. Like others, I pray your health has been and will be restored fully. I pray you will feel a new found peace that will take you through life's struggles. This video is peace invoking, I have found myself playing it over and over. I am enchanted with the music, smitten with this man's voice and style of singing. I wish you health and peace.
When we were growing up, my grandparents had a farm in White River Junction. It had been in my grandfather's family for more than 100 years. They divided their time between the farm and their residence in Massachusetts. Some of my best memories as a kid were spending hot summers there, swimming in the White River, the Thanksgivings spent with family, the kitchen warmed by the wood stove that my grandmother cooked on, learning to drive a stick shift in my grandfather's Scout, skiing down the hill in the back of the house in the winter, sitting in the parlor around the wood stove, watching "The Mary Tyler Moore show" on a snowy Saturday night. The best memories ever!!
Every year my family and I go to my grandparents cabin in VT! We get all the kids to help cut down our Christmas tree! They always fight over what tree. 😂 it is truly the most magical thing. Drinking hot cocoa, with the fireplace on. While it snows outside. It is an amazing tradition, that I wouldn’t change for the world! 🎄
Thank you for this moment. My mum( RIP) loved pinecones-I can never figure out why it brought her so much joy. I remember her eyes lighting up at the sight of one. She passed away in November and I think of her a lot during this month. Auld lang Syne never sounded so good. Namaste 🙏🙏🙏

The personal memorable touches of handmade nature decorations, scenic views of the trees and deep snow fall. Amazing harmonizing voices celebrating Christmas and the peaceful tone created throughout the short film, giving the feeling that one was experiencing the moment. Autumn awakes me to beauty of a slowing and coming to an end- a prelude the stillness of Jack Frost and the howling power of Lord Boreas as the snow arrives to blanket the earth so she may at last, slumber peacefully. Those of us who love the cold and dark season understand the need for it. And it brings such joy too with snow fights!!
Vermont is a great state to experience the Christmas season in. You can go out and play in the snow and cut your own tree down at one of the tree farms. Back in the late 1970's, the Miller brewing company filmed a Christmas commercial in the Mad River Valley region, it's a tastefully done commercial and really captures the spirit of the season. Years ago when I was a kid we used to have a real tree. We had relatives that owned a small patch of woods where they grew the trees and when we went to cut one down we knew it was our start of the Christmas season.
Your tree and other decorations are just breath taking! Me and my husband dream of living in the woods of Vermont. Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven on earth.
Yes, it's beautiful. I lived there almost 30 yrs. But it has changed. You have to be able to afford the cost of living there and they don't make it easy. VERY blue state.

I was born and raised in southwestern Pennsylvania and returned to this area after becoming a caregiver for my parents and grandmother. They have passed away, but I choose to remain here. The Allegheny Mountains run through here. Almost all of us in this region can't imagine living somewhere flat. I lived in the Philadelphia area, DC, and in Michigan while going to college, grad school, etc. But I dislike flat areas. I would love to visit Vermont one day. I've been to Connecticut and to Boston, but those areas seem flat to me. You are blessed to be in Vermont.
A true and loving account of how Christmas should be nature love and appreciation of the season, thank you for sharing this , truly magical. Watching from the UK
Not sure where in Vermont you live but it's beautiful. I lived in East Dorset for five years. Summer, fall and winter are beautiful in Vermont. Can't say I enjoyed mud season but that's okay. Thanks for the video. It brought back memories of cutting down a Christmas tree for our house.
So simply, so relaxing, a place to breathe and reflex on the year of blessings no matter what the world tells us is bad. There is beauty all around if we just look. I live in Florida but my father is from Whitehall, NY and had a camp in Orwell,Vt. We spent every summer at the camp. My heart is still there where the hills and mountains call my name. I yearn to live there but my husband could not leave the Gulf of Mexico where fishing is his joy not mine . Thank you for this video. I will watch it again and dream. Linda from Florida
Greetings from our farm in Central New Hampshire Lakes Region! Beautiful video! We remember that storm. The bird feeders were enveloped and and we had the kitchen wood stove roaring! Now that we are retired to just our working farm, we don't mind the snowy days. Our cottage is situated at the base of the main farm in the woods. The main family farm has snow fences across the fields and we sometimes can't get through our ridge road. The cows are sheltered in the barn. We can sit back to enjoy the snowy wonderland with sweaters and hot cocoa!
Wow, thank you so much for giving me peace on a Monday morning here in the UK, with everything so uncertain, your video made me realise it’s ok to just slow down and let the seasons take their course…
Hi..greetings from Costa Rica. A tropical country with lots of greens wherever you go. But seen this video with that peaceful music disconnected me from my place and transported me to Vermont. For years I was addicted to eating ice until I started taking iron pills which took the cravings away. And now looking at all that snow is making my mouth water all over again 🤤🤤🤤
This made me so homesick for Vermont... I didn't move too far away (Massachusetts) but I miss Vermont everyday. Thanks for giving me a little glimpse of home!
I loved the rendition of Ole Lang Syne, the calmness that you brought to the video and the gorgeous, natural way you decorated both he tree and that wreath, using the last of the tree as a bouquet in water. Using paper bag paper, the wooden candle holders, etc. very hygge. Such a fanciful and wonderful video.

A true and loving account of how Christmas should be nature love and appreciation of the season, thank you for sharing this , truly magical.
Watching from the UK
No other State can even compare, to Vermont at Christmas time.Beautiful video.
I love your Vermont videos!! Thank you!
When you stood in the middle of everything, just looked around and fell back in your bank of snow I fell in love with you and your traditions! XXXXX
That shot at 5:20 was so cool. It really shows the depth, how large the forest is and how much snow fell. This is such a great video! 🙂
Same with the shot at: 7:11.
When you were knocking the snow off of the Christmas Tree you looked like an elf! Lovely video, thank you.
What a lovely, calming video. Your wreath and tree were simply stunning.
I lived in Connecticut for 20 years and 21 years in California. I miss white Christmas and horse drawn carriage rides during the holidays.
I am enjoying this show over and over again. So relaxing- the Christmas tasks to be done and the sounds. Totally enjoying it and the song.❤
Hi..greetings from Costa Rica. A tropical country with lots of greens wherever you go. But seen this video with that peaceful music disconnected me from my place and transported me to Vermont. How beautiful is the snow and the trees, and how beautiful you decorated your home with the pine trees, I just imagine the pine scent and beautiful oranges all over the house. Thanks for sharing even though this was last year. Godoy bless you, merry Christmas and a happy new year
I lived in Richmond Vermont for over 3 years . I love and miss it so much. I'm thinking about moving back there this spring permanently. Beautiful video.👍🌻
Here I am in Florida in July and feeling so envious of the paradise you have built. What a lovely reminder to take each day, one at a time and enjoy the slow pace of winter.
It DID warm my heart so much, but even beyond that your appreciation and sharing of the beautiful place and life you live are helping me to savor the organic artistry of MY midwest farm Christmas; thank you and the Warmest, Merriest Christmas to you, Kate! 🎄❄️

This so beautiful to watch, and so restful. It's like a warm blanket, and thank you for posting it.
For years I was addicted to eating ice until I started taking iron pills which took the cravings away. And now looking at all that snow is making my mouth water all over again 🤤🤤🤤
This is the most beutiful thing I have seen in a very very long time.......absolute perfection ....Thank You
Christmas is coming. Happy next Xmas from Spain.
Vermont is the most beautiful place on earth:)❤❤❤❤❤❤
Simplicity at its best. That is how my childhood Christmas alway was. I still continue the same path.
Oh my, thank you. This was a special gift. The Lord has truly blessed you with such a glorious corner of his creation. Thank you for sharing.
God bless you and your family's everyone 😇
This made me so homesick for Vermont... I didn't move too far away (Massachusetts) but I miss Vermont everyday. Thanks for giving me a little glimpse of home!
I loved the rendition of Ole Lang Syne, the calmness that you brought to the video and the gorgeous, natural way you decorated both he tree and that wreath, using the last of the tree as a bouquet in water. Using paper bag paper, the wooden candle holders, etc. very hygge. Such a fanciful and wonderful video.
Oh my goodness this is absolutely beautiful,, I love snow so much,, I have forever and forever wanted to go to Vermont I pray that one day I get to visit! It’s absolutely breathtaking, you are so very lucky to live in such a beautifully peaceful place,, daydreaming from Mississippi ❤️❄️❄️❄️
