    Highly technical terms used in this video: "all these screws" "those screws" "which one goes where" "new beefy bolt". Here at NewZeroland, we push the limits on mechanical understanding, instruction, and communication! 🤣🤣 Pretty cool that someone is making legit aftermarket parts for Energica. One can only hope that bleeds over into other brands like Livewire - if someone made a pannier rack I'd be all over it in a heart beat. Great tutorial video and your video quality is great!

    That's awesome stuff! You contribute so much to the community with these kind of videos. I swear, a few weeks ago I dreamt about a video about this... I was dreaming of waking up, reading my phone and saying "cool, I'll check it later".
    Then I kept sleeping.
    When I woke up (for real), I had breakfast, all the routine... and then I checked for the video but I couldn't find it. (Then a few day later you posted the kidnap video).
    The only mod I'll need is self-cancelling turn signals, and a way to install the keyless system, as the previous owner doesn't have it. I'm sure I'm going to forget the keys in the ignition sooner or later, Harley really treat you well with it as standard.

    • @NewZeroland
      @NewZeroland  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha you weren't dreaming. I uploaded this 3 weeks ago but turns out my installation was wrong, and then I fixed it 2 weeks ago but EONE wasn't ready to sell the parts yet so I had to wait to make the video public. What are self-canceling turn signals like?? I've never had a bike that came with those.

    • @IIARROWS
      @IIARROWS 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NewZeroland Ah-ah, I caught you!
      Harley cancels the turn signal after a while if you don't turn (a few hundred meters, I think it depends on the speed too) or when you finish your turn (I think it just checks your lean in the direction and then when you straighten it up).
      They have always been like that, at least in this century, I doubt Panhead did. xD
      From a quick search, HD from at least 1985 have them, although it is less sophisticated. Even 40 years old Suzuki and BMW do.
      I watched a video that talked about mod in bikes, and I first I was shocked that's not something all bikes come with (the author of the video was adamant that NO bike have them). But it looks there are mods for some bikes, I don't know how they work or if they are reliable (they aren't connected to the CU, so they surely lack the speed and distance check).

      @NewZeroland  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bikeelectric4821 yeah it was a bit daunting for me too.. I think I used a 9.5mm or 10mm drill (whatever that is in imperial I have no idea) and you'll need a really strong drill. Definitely leave the black bracket on when you do it to make it easier. In the end it's well worth it!

    Just installed the frame sliders. I had to place the nuts tapered side in. The opposite of on the video. Bolt would not thread otherwise. Install seems solid. Thanks for the video - no way to tackle it without it.

    • @NewZeroland
      @NewZeroland  ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers! Glad this helped. But you really want the nut the other way so it fits snuggly inside the frame. That helps secure the bolt in there. It's a tricky one, for sure.

    • @ciaravino20757
      @ciaravino20757 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NewZeroland I remember that from your review. Is the entire bolt supposed to be inside the frame? Right now about half is inside the frame but it’s quite solid. Is this something you confirmed with EONE? When I got the parts the nuts and bolts were together with the taper side facing the bolt. It was much harder threading the opposite way when testing to make sure everything fit together and on one side the bolt would’t thread at all unless it was entering on the taper side.

    • @ciaravino20757
      @ciaravino20757 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not trying to be argumentative. I appreciate what you do. Just couldn’t get it to work the other way.

    • @NewZeroland
      @NewZeroland  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ciaravino20757 oh weird! Very weird that it came together like that. The thinner part of the nut should go inside the frame and the tapered part sits on the outside. I'm not sure why it was designed this way but those were the instructions I was given. If it works for you like that, I'm sure it's fine. Any protection is better than none!

    • @ciaravino20757
      @ciaravino20757 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just talked to EONE. They confirmed the taper side of the frame nut faces the bolt (away from battery). The flat part is towards the battery so it’s easier to hold on to.

    Hey. Could you touch the topic of battery heat management in one of your next videos pls? The new Experia has it but the older bikes don’t, right? Do Energica plan to include the system in all bikes soon? From what I understand that is the main reason Energica “lost” vs Ducati as MotoE supplier.

    • @NewZeroland
      @NewZeroland  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I'll talk about that in the future on a road trip, for sure. The Experia is still air-cooled, but the battery is designed in a way that *should* keep it from heating up as much. About MotoE, Energica pulled out to pursue other things. It had nothing to do with overheating batteries. The Ducatis won't be able to do more laps even though they're liquid-cooled.
