Some of the lounges in JFK -- aside from Clubhouse and Delta -- are pretty lame too. Check out the lounge AlItalia uses. UGH! It was so bad we went to the Korean Air lounge using my ElitePlus status to enter. They were like: "Alitalia's lounge is just over there." We were like: "We know." lol

And you obviously do not know what repressive means.
Swiss airline has the best interior design of all European airlines, the most stylish, modern and premium looking interior I have ever seen so far. 2nd Lufthansa and 3rd British airways.
If you are scared of flying, just enjoy the amenities of the crew. I used to be sick whenever I flew, but then I started enjoying the food, seat, and magazines, and maybe watched a couple shows or movies. It will get rid of the anxiety really quick my friend. 😉
Great video! To answer your question: the shoulder harness is required to prevent head strike to the seat shell in front. Inflatable seat belts perform a similar function. The decision to use a shoulder harness vs. inflatable depends on how the seat was certified.
strflyer128 it’s just the geometry of the seat because of the oblique angle. Economy seats are forward facing and do not need the shoulder harness. Some front row economy seats do have airbags/air belts.

777 300er is my favourite Aircraft . In 2015 I went on a Qatar 777 300er 2hr 30 min flight from Lahore to Doha it only felt like 30mins the flight was so fast . I had omelette with Spicy Sausage with Beans and Tomato
9:52 Takeoffs and landings are more likely to experience sudden or unexpected movements. The more expensive shoulder belts are safer for you and the cabin than regular lap belts alone, better safety is just one of the perks of a more expensive ticket.
Yes, I tend to read the inflight during takeoff. I am a nervous flyer ( you understand 😉) , so I like to totally distracted during my most anxious moment.
Oh, I miss Switzerland so much. You ask why the seat belts on takeoff. Well, at the risk of rattling your nerves, I'll give you just 2 of many scenarios that could eject you from your seat. A very strong crosswind could strike the plane, jolting you or even tipping the plane part way over. Or, the landing gear struts could break, tossing your face at the screen or seat in front of you. There are more I could tell you, but not with your anxiety, lol. I'm loving watching your videos. I just found you recently and have been playing one after the other for a week or so!

This was very helpful. We fly with them on July 13th from m Zurich to Nairobi and we cannot wait!!! Seems worth every penny we’ve paid. Hopefully the onboard service is good as I’ve got the kids with me but they’re seasoned travelers. We haven’t flown on Swiss Business as a family though. 🤔.
Good to know that business class has flat beds. Singapore didn't...maybe now, they do. Didn't Swiss air go out of business at some point? I don't know why I stopped flying Swiss
There ought to be couchette-like beds available as well. Simply make two economy seat spaces available at double price. This would allow a full horizontal stretch at a price much cheaper than business while changing nothing in the plane's financials otherwise, except for a minor rearrangements of the seat mechanics.

Inflight magazines is the most interesting and informative reading with a pleasant smell of gloss! This is much better for smart passengers than blunt staring at the screen. I flew Swiss economy class from Singapore to Zurich (A-340) in 2016 and this company seemed strange to me.. There were very tall and noisy flight attendants and too many buns and pastries.
Seat is narrow for me. And for a business class ticket, you would expect direct aisle access no matter where you are seated. Unfortunately not to my liking. Crew service standards were good but nothing worth screaming about.
Elliot Koh I found seats like this roomier than Reverse Herringbone especially the aisle, throne seats are naturally designed like that you pay for the tables
I know the 777 300er is the extended range version of the 777 300 but that's basically the only difference I've seen on most Airlines that the 777 300 actually holds more pax but I suppose it's depending on different Airline configuration
Seats very boxy looking, similar to work cubicles. Pegboard panels remind me of those found in garages used for hanging tools. I would personally choose an alternate airline for this route.
Have you plan to fly on AirFrance Buisness class or La Première ? It should be a good experience with the new seats designed by sofitel on their 777s. Also the video was excellent, like always ;)
Hi Fred, I have a question ( not related to this vid), whenever I stay at luxury hotels I get a bit uncomfortable as giving tips seems to be expected. I'm not a cheap person, I just always get confused how much I'm supposed to tip. Can you share your own view on that?

America is attractive due to its nature and openness. Asian and European system are repressive, so they need to put up a show.
