- San Francisco Vintage Street Car Ride Along - Market Street to Fisherman's Wharf. I shot this on a recent vacation and edited it on my Mac, putting the names of every stop on screen for the viewers convenience. In Europe, they show train videos from the conductors viewpoint, so I tried to do the same here. I couldn't stand next to the driver, of course, but I sat in the front seat and shot through the window as best I could.
Wow! An open air, operational streetcar museum! Never thought I'd see that. Has me considering the 1500-mile trip, by rail of course, to SF just to ride those ageless streetcars.
Yes, one of the great things about living there.
Nice video!

Sounds kinda like our old T3 cars with tyristors, haha, awesome
+Vojta Kuščák PS: What I find mostly intriguing is that the driver announces the stops LIVE. Here where I live it's all pre-recorded, the driver just pushes a button and voila... :)
Her announcements are outstanding !!
I remember when they took these out of service. And then brought them back again. Politicians at work.
I do not believe the streetcars on the F line (this route), and soon, it's counterpart the E line, are airconditioned. MUNI Metro (light rail) and BART, the subway/commuter system are, however.
I ride this Every Weekend.
The operator was "engaging in unnecessary conversation"?! Wow...unusual on MUNI.
If you ain't female, forget it - she don't swing that way.
I work with her - I know.
gripmann isn’t everyone in S F . . . .
