This reminds me of the dark ages of the mid to late 1970s when power was extremely hard to come by. I had a little Datsun truck with a 2 liter 4 cylinder. As a kid of 17 I spent a summer removing all the crap that sucked power out of the engine and replaced the tiny 2 barrel carb with twin Weber 45s like the ones in the video along with a ton of other stuff. It was probably a good thing that I didn't know how in depth all of what I did was actually going to be. If I had known I doubt I would have started at all. Looking back I'm very glad that I did it though. . After I was done I was able to eat Porsche 914s and 924s, Ford Capris and Mazda RX-7s for lunch all day, every day.

most hardcore racing enthusiasts agree Weber carbs if properly tuned , deliver robust power..the engine rev capabilities attest to this claim! Tremendous!
@burkie1990 Not quite, here's a brake down. The E in 4A-FE is for electronic injection, the F is for economy or narrow angled valve head. The G in 4A-GE is for wide angled valve. Both share the same bore and stroke and that is where the similarity ends really. Carburettor versions lacked the E, so it would be 4A-F. C does not stand for carburettor however.
@Acornoa lol its the 'trumpet' for the ITB(individual Throttle Bodies), short ones like that tend to be more HP tuned, better breathing rather than sharing a common air intake!
Supershank thanks for the reply . What veichel did this engine come out of ? The reason I ask I have a 83 corolla wagon with the 1.6 engine and would like to swap it out for a engine like this one .
Lukas Jank i think il have to correct you, E stands for electronic multipoint fuel injection en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Toyota_engines for reference on the engine codes, it says E stands for multi point fuel injection, so yes they did have EFI
Gerrit-Jan Bergwerf Oh Lol really sry there I just thought because mine is carburated every is (bought it that way), but yeah I looked it up now and E actually stands for multi port. Sry tho
both have the same power it's just that the black top has an extra 5hp. you can convert it into carbs that would give you a much better response. hth :)
Damn that engine sounds beautiful!!! It almost sound like a sport bike reving!!! Fuck!!! Now I want one for my 81' celica!! Fuck the 22R!!! I want this!!!! 8^D
carbs have high response because its all mechanical ie quick revving and throttle control but dnt have the fine tuning that FI which is electronic. performance wise FI is better but reliability and ease of tuning and repair carb is better Silvertops are FI so itbs would be the logical choice but u could make it switch it to carbs if u wanted to.

Every time I come back for this amazing sound. Pure japanese ninja sound.
I cant believe the video was uploaded 11yrs ago, and i dont get to own one of these hahahaha
What a lucky owner of this engine! One of the best, if not the sounding 4AGE weber carb set up I've heard in a long, long time! Beautiful!!!
most hardcore racing enthusiasts agree Weber carbs if properly tuned , deliver robust power..the engine rev capabilities attest to this claim! Tremendous!
Hargerty: we will demo you this rebuild engine on our TEST BENCH.
Bangkok man: hold my hose pipe.
One of the best ones I've heard so far! Great job there trd bangcock division!!! Two thumbs up for you!!!
It’s bangkok.
I could feel the sparkle in my eye as I watched this.
Oh btw, the garden hose are falling off due to cool vibrations
Those are nice little engines. I've had 2 Corollas in the past, an 80 and 81.
This is the best sounding ITB 4age video in my honest opinion.🤘
I think this engine is carbureted not injected. Hence why the video is called weber. They are using weber carbs
@@Rkyline so technically he's right, weber carbs are ITB (Individual Throttle Body)
99% of the noise is the lack of exhaust you cant hear the carbs
Only seen this done with old v8's. Sounds amazing.
TRD Bankok
Aku pernah pakai dcoe40 pasang kat kereta mini clubman.memang terbaik carburator ni
love the sound!

And this will go on one of those crazy long skinny boats they race. Sounds like a very worked 4age to me, that thing revs hard and so quick.
Awesome idle and rev sounds
omg, I am in love with that sound its intoxicating ........... You freaking Thailand guys are F^$&ing crazy !!!!!!!!
Sounds awesome Pal... cheers

You know its called a 4A-G now right?
the 'E' stands for electronic fuel injection ;)
but this one isn't EFI :P its carb.
+uwibern
your winner!
Sry if I am very late here but to clear the things up E stands for Electronical Ignition System, 4A-GE never had fuel injection
Lukas Jank

How is the engine being cooled if the coolant is spilled everywhere?
Did they install it on a bicycle or one of those boats?
And there you have it folks 119 horsepower

@pandalevinn What ignition set up are you running please?
Dell' Orto, Webber. Best carbs. Had 44mm Dell' Ortos on my 2275cc VW bug, it would pull the front wheels.
Awesome!

03denali, depending on the age, he could have either 122BHP or 130BHP, they rev to 7200rpm. Mine has the 122BHP version

Sounds exactly like a 2332 vw engine with a stinger exhaust
Who needs a radiator when u can have fresh cool water being pumped in all the time? hahah
woow
What size weber use? Sound awesome 😎
Any engine can take webber carbs, you just have to know how to tune them and where to get/how to make a manifold.
Modern equivalent to a BDA 👍🏼
Wow I want one ...
This is the craziest fucking thing ive ever seen.
How is the ignition set up for this?
