    This is brilliant! I’m planning on setting up a bag in box system with a Wunderbar, but this is intriguing.

    it may not be useful for many people, however for someone like me in the Car Show World...it's perfect, I've seen these in movies or tourist attraction cars but never in a car show...thanks to this I get to actually build 1 & set it up where it will fit in my car & hidden...

    Worked in food and beverage many years, have acquired 2 Wunderbar post mix guns, one McCans post mix gun, an antique Coke post mix fountain from the 70’s (Dole), McCans high flow carbonater, regulators, syrup pumps, the Whole catastrophe as Zorba once said. Now I need to build a cabinet to house all of this. There is also a company that makes a low voltage liquor dispensing for limos and private jets, will probably copy this unit and use it for the common bar liquor in the set up.
    Very ingenious setup you have there! Do you have one way valves on the CO2 feeds to the individual bottles? It would keep CO2 waste to a minimum.

    I noticed the bar gun used in the video is of a different style compared to most, does this system require a soda/bar gun that does not have a breakout box at the end, or is it just there to make it clean?

    • @drduckinventor
      @drduckinventor  8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The system requires a premix gun.

    dude the drinks dont stay cold you gotta like pt it in ice n stuff! i like the setup though! did you make it? where can i get one?

  • @drduckinventor
    @drduckinventor  12 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    This invention omits the 'cold plate', making it far more user friendly. However you make your cocktail, ice will be part of the drink. Let the ice do its thing, the Bar Bandit takes care of the rest.
    A detailed, step-by-step: Build you own Bar Bandit guide is available for $10.00 at the link listed in the video description.

    So if I install a two liter of coke utilizing your system, and from that 2 liter bottle I have one 12 oz drink every day for a week, will the last portion still be fully carbonated and not flat?

    • @drduckinventor
      @drduckinventor  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Constant Co2 pressure will keep the soda bubbly to the final drop.

      Scott Mallard Well thank you, your invention sounds pretty useful then!

    • @MisterFizz
      @MisterFizz 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unlikely. Line pressure to the Wunderbar dispenser is to be no more than 20PSI - that's a flat Coke for sure. Sitting on a gondola shelf in the supermarket beverage aisle, a Coke/Pepsi has 60-85 PSI. The beverage industry standard level of carbonation is 8g per liter. 16-grams of co2 in a 2-liter bottle at room temperature results in comparable bottle pressures. To keep your drinks fully carbonated, U-will need to maintain that pressure start-to-finish over the course of your week. If you run your line pressure that high, U-will be dispensing one glass of foam after another - just like you would over-pressurizing beer in a Cornelius keg. Sure, U-can turn the pressure down every time U-dispense from the Bar Bandit. But then U-will have to remember to turn it back up after U-serve up a glass. It's only a matter of time B4U 4-get 'n come back to flat soda. Everyone with pre-mix home soda equipment will testify to this fact. That's why post-mix systems have virtually replaced pre-mix systems like 99.99999% in the past half-century. 2-liter bottles are but miniature kegs. If U-call Wunderbar (707-448-5151) and ask their tech support gurus for the dispensing line pressure - they will tell U the same thing. Lines coming from the keg (or source bottle) are at the same pressure as is inside your source (keg or plastic bottle). If that's 25PSI, U-will soon B drinking flat soda. A brand new, freshly opened 2L bottle of Coke will be fully pressurized, yeah - duhhhhhhhhhhhh. But leaving the cap off, open to the 15PSI atmosphere or shoving only 25PSI back onto it in a closed bottle or keg - guess what - FLAT SODA CITY in a few hours.

      Any higher and it will waste product as foam, also drop the basket into a large cooler full of ice, cold product foams less when dispensed.

    Tbh that's a pretty weak flow for soda.

    • @Subgunman
      @Subgunman 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can increase the pressure a few more psi to increase the flow but be aware there is a chance that the product will foam. This can be reduced by dropping the bottles into a cooler full of ice. You could also wrap the tubing with insulation up to the guns metal hose.

  • @Dusen26

    This has such a misleading title. You can buy the instructions for $12, but the actual cost to build is much higher.

      Knowledge is power, you pay for someone’s time to build and test to find the best solution. If you buy new it will be costly but if you shop around in shops that specialize in used food service equipment you can save up to half of new.

      Or to people who don't drink soda that often. I might add this to my theater room if I can make a tower version of it like at the theater. (I want to show it off, not hide it away with a soda gun.)

    "build your own for $12"...except the $12 is to buy full instructions, doesn't cover parts...you can LEARN HOW TO build your own (for $12 to learn), not actually build your own for $12.
    This is what's known as misleading advertising, and is against the law
