    I'm one of the writers of Cat's Cradle. On behalf of all of us, I want to thank you for this wonderful, in-depth, review. We were incredibly excited to have you review this, as we are all fans and think your reviews are spectacular.
    It's clear how much work you put into this, and we can't thank you enough! It's so exciting to hear feedback from groups we don't know. And your group is the first one that had one of my FAVORITE things in the module happen!
    Again, thank you so much! We write these to have them get played, and you help us experience that!

    Nice review! I had to look it up: Smoke detectors have been around since 1902 and they rang pairs of really loud, shrill metal bells, like giant retro alarm clocks. Super unnerving lol

      Ah!! Excellent, then we played this correctly. Imagine the chaos in the hospital...

    Giving the background of how your game went really helps!

    i thought this was a Call of Cthulhu plus Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle module for a second, and was really confused and interested. Still pretty interesting tho.

    Mind-swapping is such a great element in horror games, but it must take a lot of work to keep track of. How did you handle skills when you had a new mind in a new body?

    • @XPLovecat
      @XPLovecat  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Fantastic question. I printed off the stats for Mary Claire so they were easy to reference. The investigator maintained any skills/stats related to the brain (since that is still the same, the body just swapped). So for example INT, POW, EDU, and SAN all stayed the same. Stats related to the body changed so the investigator got new STR, CON, SIZ, DEX, and APP stats. For skills, we didn't bother changing all of them over and just made the call if it came up. For example, brawl would change but library use would stay the same.

      @@XPLovecat That's the best way to handle it, I think. And it can lead to some hilarious moments when, say, the bruiser character now in a nine year-old's body tries to pick a fight with someone.

    great video, but just a question out of curiosity, no need to answer if that's too personal for you, but what kind of scar is that on your neck? Is it from a thyroid-surgery? Greetings!

    • @XPLovecat
      @XPLovecat  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't mind the question, it is from thyroid surgery. I had thyroid cancer 2 years ago and had my thyroid and several lymph nodes removed. Here's a video where I talk about it if you're interested! th-cam.com/video/a-g9qiiAdrQ/w-d-xo.html
