Creta is 19.5 lakh on road. This will be 6 lakhs cheaper. 6 lakhs may not be a big amount on a 75 lakh rupee car but it certainly is a big amount on a 12 lakh rupee car. Most irritating thing in AMT is when the traffic lights change and you come off brake pedal, it waits for precious 2 seconds to move forward and that is when those behind you start honking furiously. In torque converters, the moment you step off brake pedal, car starts moving. If XUV300 AMT can do that then it will be great.
Only Con to XUV300 is its Pricer against respective variants, small bootspace & less efficient than competition. W4 is a taxi variant, W6 good for nothing (meherbani wala variant), W8 & W8 (O) are expensive for a sub 4 mts SUV. The difference also is too much from Turbo Petrol & Diesal. Forget about built, etc....Glanza by far has the best Variant offerings. Absolutely spot on feature loaded ना कम ना ज्यादा from buyers perspective.

NO AMT will downshift from 6th gear to 3rd gear suddenly, if done so, it will damage the Transmission.
Yes, even Torque Converters and DCTs don't shift down so furiously.
AMTs DCTs aren't any good for this purpose. CVTs are solution to this problem.
