I am from Christ Church but I live in Louisiana near New Orleans. My mom is aging so I try to go home more often and I always rent a car and drive around. Your videos have given me more confidence to go explore more areas on the island. Thank you for the videos and keep it going.
Thank you for doing your drives, the way you do, natural, you don’t need any maps, you narrate with a calm voice beautifully, your son plans well, a good team enjoyable informative some historic content , thank you again.
Thank you for this drive through St. Andrew. I love the fact that you will be exploring the parishes. It’s such a nice feeling seeing how beautiful Barbados is. The Morgan Lewis sugar mill was awesome. You and your son are doing a great job. Thank you. Be safe as you both travel.
Clyde Thompson-----I believe you were trying to say you were TAUGHT at school about the meaning of hills versus mountains.THOUGHT IS the past participle of the word THINK. So much so those videos are very enlightening especially for people like me who has not explored Barbados.
I like your idea of doing a series of drives parish by parish. Is it possible if you could tell us a little about the weather on the day of the drive, just so we get a feel for Barbados weather. Would be a nice touch. I enjoy the channel very much and find it a valuable stress reducer at the end of a long day.
'Ah, wow', D & J, Thank you so much for this drive. Our country side is very beautiful with the lush green foliage and the sights of nature. Sometimes I forget how beautiful the far country side in the Island is. Excuse the roadworks, as you can see, some extensive road works projects are being carried out Island wide.😊
Thank you so very much for your video on St. Andrew very beautiful love it!! Very much appreciated. You and your son please stay safe. God blessed you both 🙏🏼🙏🏼😍
Thank you so much for a pleasant afternoon drive enjoying beautiful Barbados. Perhaps in another video you might consider touring the little St. Andrew villages of St. Simon which is a right turn off the Ermie Bourne highway somewhere close to the Alleyne School. Farley Hill house stood from 1818 until it was destroyed by fire April 10, 1965. I have a memory of it in its pre fire plantation house splendor, owned by some Englishman whose family may have donated it to the National Trust or the government since the fire.
I’m a Bajan in Central Florida and my wife and I are enjoying your tours of Barbados. We would love if you would tell us what’s on the large signs that indicate directions to various locations to help us better understand where you are on your drive, Thank you!
Could you please do a journey from through Holetowm, to Trench Hill to Greenwich. And then from Greenwich to Lancaster, Orange Hill and Apes Hill. My Grandad would love to see it. Love from London 💗
You should not turn back when you was at the park gone back to the left to pleasant hall turn right to diamond corner to cherry tree hill down morngan Lewis hil
All the Anglican churches main entrance is on the western end of the church and the pulpit is on eastern side, thus that entrance is main entrance...as far as i know
I want to correct your son about mountains, a mountain is a piece of land that rises more than 1000 feet above sea level, I was thought this in elementary school in Barbados. Your son is certainly incorrect about mountains in Barbados. Mount Hillaby, the highest point in Barbados, rises to 1,102 feet (336 metres) in the north-central part of the island. To the west the land drops down to the sea in a series of terraces. East from Mount Hillaby, the land declines sharply to the rugged upland of the Scotland District. Southward, the highlands descend steeply to the broad St. Georges Valley; between the valley and the sea the land rises to 400 feet (120 metres) to form Christ Church Ridge. Coral reefs surround most of the island. Sewerage systems were installed in the late 20th century to address the threat to the reefs from runoff of fertilizers and untreated waste. Now the national anthem does say "these fields and hills" as well as "loyal sons and daughters" it does not say mountain as there is a single mountain. You can google it; I don't have to I was thought this in my geography class at the then St. Giles Boys school. I love your drive throughs, Barbados is so green and beautiful, thanks for showing my country.
