    Just received my C45 latest July! The best boat I had yet: fast, roomy, safe… Italian design and German quality! I can’t ask anything more…

    The wife and I struggled so much on which boat to buy. This one, or the SR41. With no sailing experience, we ended up choosing the power boat. But this sail boat with the wonderful craftsmanship was a hard boat to pass up.

      I've been in the same situation, love Sailboats and came close to buying a Power Boat due to being physically disabled, but hadn't realised just how many improvements have been made this last 10 years or so. with little but important things like Stern access, 4 gentle sloping steps to the companionway, and good handholds to move around below, easy Sail handling walk around side decks, etc, and thanks to walk around insights from People like Ian, I've realised I can still live with a Sailboat, though for long trips and safety, I'll still need a crew to keep the insurance company happy. Hence a boat like the C45 rather than something smaller, to keep Crew Safe, Comfy, and Happy. If I lived on Ian's side of the Atlantic, I'd be in touch with him, but the local British Bavaria Agent can Commission with exactly what I need, including for example Raymarine Network and instrumentation (nothing wrong with B&G, but I've been a Software Texter for decades, Raymarine are looking at some suggestions I've made, and .I'd like to continue that Relationship). Custom Work to my My specification and requirements no problem at all. Fingers crossed my Order with my Full Specification, is ready to put in around next Spring. Still Lots of details to work through. Best Wishes and Fair Winds, and maybe meet up for a drink sometime somewhere. Bob. 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

    very smart presentng it without any cockpit enclosure (sprayhood, shaders, whatever). everything looks so aerated and lined up. trying to imagine it on a sailable condition.
    on the other hand, looks amazingly similar with oceanis 46.1, don't you think?

    nice boat but for such a small boat that garage should of been used for interior space, the cockpit is not covered so the sun will bake you, no dedicated interior captain space for chart plotting/navigating

    Thanks, Monkey Feet. That was very informative. Beautiful boat.

    It's got beautiful styling and a nice layout, but I was surprised they put a dinghy garage in a 45' boat. It seems like the trade-off of a loss of 4-5' of potential interior space (whatever the depth of the garage) in order to avoid the "aesthetically unpleasing" alternative of having the dinghy on davits is not worth it on a 45' boat.

    Beautiful boat and nice video as usual but could you please enable closed captioning for different languages Ian?

    How do you redo your lines that’s gonna be a pain if you have to feed them threw the fiberglass

    • @thefireman285
      @thefireman285 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You attach the new line to the old one and pull it through. If one is broken mid length you can use a wire"fisher" like what electricians use. Fairly simple really.
