This video is based on the assumption that interest rates will remain same after 25-30 years. What if the interest rates goes down to 2-3 percent. Have NPS, but there is no harm in having a small contribution towards APY. Think of it as an additional income as you turn 60.
but the problem in APY is the max pension is only 5000 and if we think of nearly 30 years from now the value of 5000 at that time will be merely 870 rupees at min inflation of 6%
Current Inflation is around 6% now think of it after 25-30 years down the line do you still think current fixed investment rates will be able to address the inflation

Thank you sir for making this informative video . I m 18 years old . Today I heard about this word APY and NPS in bank . I was very about this scheme but you clear my doubts .
i watched your videos and received good knowledge but on one part of the video which is "Annuity rate" which you have taken as 6% by default. My concern is in future the interest rates will go downward only, as the cumulative inflation will go downward only. we may see Interest rate below 1 percent in coming 20-30 years. so, annuity rates will also go around 1%. Don't you think so. Because of this APY must be taken, nps is secondary as if anyone wants to invest more. Kindly correct if i am wrong. Current Annuity rate is around 5% (approx.)
What APY is promising is minimum pension amount. If they are able to realize good returns on the corpus, they will pay that excess amount over 5K. In that scenario, APY may be comparable to NPS too.

I have invested in apy as part my debt folio. (Though now income tax payers can't invest in apy). But that 5000 after 30 odd years will be insignificant, so in current scenario one should avoid apy.
I think you have wrong comparison in this video. After 10-20 years the annuity plan have maximum interest of 4-5% only. Bhai APY me guaranteed "minimum" pension hai. Aur pichhle kai saal ka record utha ke dekh lijiye, govt samay -samay par saare 'Yojnao' ko badhate rehti hai.
I have NPS, APY and EPF all going on since 4 years and APY contribution is insignificant for me and also max of 5k after retirement would not even cover a couple of day's expense at that time, so one can avoid it anyway.

Hi Sir I have some doubts regarding NSP & ELSS. Please find some time and answer these. NPS 1. Can we open an NPS account with lumpsum or have to go for SIP only. 2. After paying the amount in the first year, I need to give it again in the second year and so on up to the age of 60. Right! 3. Do we need to pay the same amount we paid in starting I mean have to maintain the consistency or amount can vary depends on us. ELSS 1. If I choose a lump sum amount in the first year(e.g 1,00,000) & locking period of 5 years. Then do I need to pay the same for the rest of 4 years also or only once (first year)? 2. I case I want to give the same amount next year also can I do that into the same account or for next year I have to open another ELSS account. 3. Last but not least, once maturity completed then also if I want to continue with that ELSS amount in the same account. Can I add more amount into that and continue with that. Thanks
NPS: 1. LUMPSUM and SIP both available (for SIP you can give standing instructions to your bank) 2. Every year, you need to put a minimum of 500 to keep NPS Account active 3. No, you can pay different amounts as per your wish ELSS 1. ELSS has a lock in of 3 years, not 5. And no, you can put different amounts each year. Every installment gets locked for 3 years 2. ELSS is not an account, it a mutual fund. You can invest more money in the same mutual fund. 3. Yes, if you want to keep investing money after 3 years, you can. But as i have said earlier, every time you invest money, that will be locked in for 3 years. Example: if i invest 1000 on 1st of every month. Then 1000 invested on 1st January 2020 will be locked till 1st january 2023. On 1st May 2023, i will be able to withdraw total 5000, from jan 2020, feb 2020, march 2020, april 2020, and may 2020. But i will have to wait for one more month to withdraw my june 2020 money, because that money will complete 3 years in june 2023.
5:45 par aapne bola ki agar pension holder ki death ho jayegi to pension Spouse ko milega lekin pansion to 60 saal ke baad milegi aur agar Spouse ki death ho pension holder se pahle ho gayi tab kya hoga aur ha, pension Holder ki death 60 saal se pahle ho gayi tab kya hoga bahot confusion hai
1.I think maximum age for NPS is 60 years but you have mentioned 65, please confirm 2. After starting pension after 60 till what year I/spouse Will get pension 3. If I died then shall my wife is eligible for pension. 4. While giving the premium if I died then what is the impact.
Apay gives insurance if in case of death of payer and spouse will get the pension without paying further pending monthly payment, in nps spouse will get only invested amount and it's the Major difference which you missed 😊😊

Coincidentally I was watching your video on 07 Jan only,😀
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIRJI...WHAT A CO INCIDENT...
Really Nice to compare both .I loved ur challen.
I have joined NPS department this month. I have been watching videos for the product knowledge. I would also like to add that we are the POP SP(ICICI PRUDENTIAL PENSION FUND MANAGEMENT COMPANY LTD). Kindly comment here for any NPS related queries or to open a new account.
hey I work at Indian Railways and I have Nps by my employees and APY by my banker. Can I keep investing on both?
Individual Pran corporate me convert ho sakta hai kya. Maine galati se all citizens wala pran open kiya hai
I am goverment employees calculation ke hisab se meri monthly pension 1.5 lakh hogi and total amount 5crore hogi dekh ke acha lagta hai 😁😁😁
Bhai APY me guaranteed "minimum" pension hai.
Aur pichhle kai saal ka record utha ke dekh lijiye, govt samay -samay par saare 'Yojnao' ko badhate rehti hai.
Good information Sir 👌👌; Setp by Setp bathane ki Liye Dhanybad Sir
I have NPS, APY and EPF all going on since 4 years and APY contribution is insignificant for me and also max of 5k after retirement would not even cover a couple of day's expense at that time, so one can avoid it anyway.
Hi mandeep, first of all thanks to make us all jagruk, your videos really helped me in taking financial decisions, One request though if you can make a video on tax harvesting using some data to show how much can we benefit from that, considering hybrid fund too then that will be great. Thanks.
Bhai mere corona ke time pe toh share market down tha tabhi time wapas aa gaya toh NPS mein 5000 ka 3000 bhi ho sakta par atal mein nahi bhai. Koi mere se sahmat h toh bolo
Hi Sir I have some doubts regarding NSP & ELSS. Please find some time and answer these.
NPS
ELSS
Thanks
NPS:
1. LUMPSUM and SIP both available (for SIP you can give standing instructions to your bank)
2. Every year, you need to put a minimum of 500 to keep NPS Account active
3. No, you can pay different amounts as per your wish
ELSS
1. ELSS has a lock in of 3 years, not 5. And no, you can put different amounts each year. Every installment gets locked for 3 years
👍Thanks to share... In so nice way👌
Happy birthday brother ❤️❤️❤️ thanks you for financial advise
Thank you so much for clearing all my doubts
Ur explaination is awesome bro
5:45 par aapne bola ki agar pension holder ki death ho jayegi to pension Spouse ko milega lekin pansion to 60 saal ke baad milegi aur agar Spouse ki death ho pension holder se pahle ho gayi tab kya hoga aur ha, pension Holder ki death 60 saal se pahle ho gayi tab kya hoga bahot confusion hai
I have opened both APY and NPS and saving tax of 50k over and above 1.5Lakh
1.I think maximum age for NPS is 60 years but you have mentioned 65, please confirm
2. After starting pension after 60 till what year I/spouse Will get pension
Happy Birthday mere Bhai 🎉🎉
The thing i hate about nps is the pop extracting charges for the onboarded customers but not enps. We don't even have option to convert the account
