Introduction to Jacksonian Democracy, focusing on the elections of 1824 and 1828, the "Corrupt Bargain," and the new democratic politics that took shape in the 1820s
I never knew that the founding generation frowned upon political campaigning! Do you have any further reading on that? I think the "Further Reading" link doesn't work in the video.
I don't know if you still look at comments but I was wondering about something you said in your Jefferson video. That they ignored the constitution. What do we do about the government ignoring the constitution now? And can the courts really decide it's okay to ignore the constitution?
I like this lecture, sir, but I'd love to see a more in depth lecture about Jackson. One of the best presidents but a horrible person. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks BTW for the great Vids!
How convenient that he left out the trail of tears. Lol. Jackson was as awful a president as he was a person. Dont let him cherry pick his lecture and push his warmongering godless ass into the light of presidential honor. I know this is late. But had to say domething.
I hear a lot of conservatives make the assumption, the south was Democrats because Democrats were pro slavery. But, they never associate the south"s loyalty to the Democratic party with Andrew Jackson and white suffrage.
you're going to be the only reason I pass my apush test on tuesday.

There's a poster of Malcolm X behind him interesting!
I love the lecture. I dislike the fact that you left out the brutal murder of Indians. Add that in & I'll agree with your time-line

Glossing over universal (white male) suffrage isn't appreciated. Sincerely, a sincerely anti-crt social studies teacher.
