Thank you....I just got my digitone and I have watched too many videos from people who can barely use the digitone, teaching me how to use the digitone... It was refreshing to finally find a useful video from someone who gets ho the synth works....Or even basic FM synthesis for that matter.
It’s neat that after this many years of subscribing to this channel my reaction is, more often than not, “hey, this is really nice, thank you for sharing this”
i love these "from scratch" videos, it's inspiring and so calming watching and hearing you build these soundscapes. i especially love the digitone ones, sounds wonderful
Part way through Jeremy says something along the lines of this is nothing, its the beginning of the day. Whereas I'm just leaning back in my chair being impressed and further cementing that I need a digtone in life.
I was the thousandth person to like this. I really really like this so the like count should be 2000 (as mine counts as 1000). Ordered a DN today and this is helping me get very excited about being united with it 🙌
Really enjoying all of your new content, definitely keep going where your heart takes you. This kind of video is my favorite since I've got a Digitone (and learned most of my tricks on it from you). I hope you do more in this series, and with whichever gear you enjoy creating with. Modular videos have been killer too. Can't wait for the Digit[akt|one] album!
This gives me a strong urge to pair a Digitone with a NDLR. Digitone makes wonderful sounds and soundscapes, with the ability to evolve those sounds real-time... while NDLR makes big, long, interesting chord progressions easy. Seems like they'd go well together.
NDLR is a great starting point. The built-in mod slots and LFO's give so much scope to messing around with the arpeggiator, Pad and Drone parts, as well as just plain old output to MIDI CC's
I'll never understand why we can't have 128 steps. This isn't helping quell my desire for a Digitone, but most importantly thanks for these videos. They always inspire me to explore some other avenue that hadn't occurred to me.
Gotta absolutely agree on that. Still you can either turn sync rate to 1/2 so the sequencer runs at half speed or tune down the bpm to half to get longer sequences (caveat being with sync rate 1/2 you have can't play that many fast notes, don't know which rn)
@@fargoththemoonsugarmaniac I usually wind up doing the 1/2 speed. It's funny because I use that on my Toraiz Squid, but when I wrote that comment I didn't realize the Digitakt also had that feature.
I’m trying to decide on my first poly synth and idk if I should get the digitone, the minilogue XD…or save up for the analogue 4 or the novation peak?? Idk all I have right now is: -digitakt -korg monologue -Bass station 2 I need some polyphony in my life
The digitone is extra special because of the 4 track sequencer. In addition to being a wonderful and dynamic poly synth, I can’t express how indispensable that sequencer is. It’s like using four or more different synths at the same time and the elektron sequencers are *so* fun when you get the hang of them Also your setup is nearly identical to mine 2 years ago. Sold my digitone to get a minilogue xd and as much as I loved that synth, the digitone is so much better at that price point.
I think the digitone will be my next major synth investment. I realize that a good sequencer is important in my gear and you cannot beat elektron's. I would love to see what magical creations you could create with the ekektron sequencer and the hydrasynth!
Gosh, I really dislike these devices. I loved the electron machine drum, but the digitakt/tone are just horrible. I’ve watched countless videos, reviews and the like…it’s just bad. Sounds like the most generic EDM for Grade-Schoolers stuff, ever. Doesn’t matter how talented or hardworking the person using them is, they always sound like crap. Horrible work flow and those clacky buttons would make me throw the thing at the wall on day one. Gosh, I really hate these devices.

goddam dude within 4 minutes alone it sounded gorgeous
The LFOs on the Digitone have been endless wells of inspiration for me. Same goes for your videos! Thank you Jeremy!
Yeah they're awesome
@@RedMeansRecording and what about the LFOs?
This is awesome. I got a Digitone last winter and have been loving it. Thanks for sharing this cool process of making something with it!
Man this video is so soothing.....it makes me forget about all the troubles going on and just get lost
That was educational, super relaxing, I cooked an entire dinner to this and now I have to get a digitone!
This is beautiful... I could listen to this for hours
Lovely track!! Most of it reminded me of your typical town music in a fantasy RPG ps1 game 😂🙌
So hold on you're telling me it's my fault my Digitone patterns aren't 100% candy dream fuel all the time?
Beautiful! This jam reminds me of a mesmerizing game called FTL (Faster Than Light). I own a Digitone and I love it
"Been relying on the arrpegiator too much" "gonna try something else" - plays arrpegios on the keyboard. 😁
Always a treat. Thanks Jeremy.
This tune is gonna be stuck in my head for days.
I love my Digitone and am just figuring it out right now. Keep these kind of vids coming!
my Digitone comes by the end of this week to join my Digitakt. this series is so awesome, thx !

Really great video. And excited to hear that Tone/Takt album that you mentioned at the beginning!

Nothing better than starting my day with a new video like this from you Jeremy. Love this kind of content! More more more plzzzzz:)
Nice and chilled, perfect for a Sunday afternoon
Awesome! Getting some SkyRoads (old DOS PC game) vibes around 4:30!
I watched your most recent video, and now I'm here, and I'm really excited for what you got comin'
Well done. You have an amazing ability to really get the tonal/functional relationships in a device and apply this to your sense of musicality.

Digitone in your hands is delish.
I really love your melodic sensibility, man.

Yes that would be a powerful combo
I have both and they do work well together, also utilizing Digitakt for beat.
Do it! They work beautifully together...

Always a treat to listen to. Thankyou.
Bought the e25 version....its sittin at the house and im out trucking. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
Lovely 😊 such a happy little melody. 👏
Love this series! Thank you!
I could listen to that floating arps around my head all day
Oh boy Donkey Kong Country Vibes!! So inspired man! Can't wait to get my hands on this synth!!!
beautiful, you have mastered the digi
Well that was magical.
Just wonderful. Thank you for sharing!
That was lovely. Thanks!
DigiTony! My favorite little box friend.
Tasty tunes! I like the MOOOOVEMENT!
digitone is my first synth and all ive got to say is holy shit
You’re a wizard bro good stuff
Love the digitone :D !

BEST CHANNEL
Great job dude
Good technique to use the arp to get 16th notes on a half time 8 bar pattern. Thanks!
I am now following the tutorial, thank you
Yay another DN from Scratch!
If Elektroplankton was a complex groovebox
Beautiful!
Love this series. Can’t wait until you put it all together. Maybe with some OT fx/resampling goodness?
Love this series
Very useful! Thanks a lot...Subscribed :-) Hi from Belgium!
Loved it ❤
Thank you!
Excellent!
Fantastic!
Always beaut man, always
Early in the video: Playstation 1 Final Fantasy 7 Vibes.
Late in the video: Final Fantasy 7 Remake vibes.
Wonderful 💚
Very nice! Sounds like the Dustforce soundtrack. :) (good thing)
Awesome! Yet, I didn’t understand the midi channel trick for the performance phase
NICE. thank you
wonderful!
I always leave the metronome on by mistake and think that its clipping
Woahhh, it's been a long time for me
Lovely
Ahh yes, time to spend 20 minutes not editing my own videos and lusting after the Digitone once again lol.
I hope a new update soon!!
Can you use the Keystep to operate the sequencer, on the Digitone? Thanks!
Yes
Can the digitone make brostep wobbles?
The end sounds like something from the Minecraft soundtrack :)
I really appreciate this ambient spoken word EP. Can I download it from Bandcamp?
I'll be doing a performance album of this layer this year
I wanna buy one now :0
Now I want 1 to..
After you added in the arp bass line I started to get very strong Junior Boys vibes 👍
God I love them
from 4:17 it just becomes a tune
Is there a good way to learn what each LFO does?
Each lfo does what you set it to do

420K subs bro! 420 haha
Lol
Hey man love your videos, would you suggest an arturia keystep to pair with an op-z, or do you wish you had a different midi device to pair with it?
I always just used the opz and the iPad app
you get 2 LFOs per track or you use the same two LFOs to modulate different things in each track?
2 LFOs per track ✌️
Pretty...........
Made me dust off the Digitone
