Doesnt everybody see faces in all things that slightly resemble faces? Didnt know it was a syndrome of something, since it makes evolutionary sense that it is healthy.
It is a evolutionary trait. Our brains have evolved to to recognise faces. I assume its benefit is to aid in social interaction; as humans most of our emotions are expressed through our faces (while animals like dogs utilise tails etc) . As our brain had been "wired" to recognise small gestures in facial expression, it understanble that we see faces in inamate objects
