Today I shared how I get rid of pests (caterpillar, Hornworm, aphids, ants, leaf miners), using organic methods in my Jamaican Backyard Container Garden.
We use mainly used/recycled ♻️ materials/containers to grow a large amount of fresh fruits and vegetables.
We try to be as self sufficient as possible with the foods that we can grow ourselves and encourage you to do so too. Grow your own food.

Boyy Marie the pests in the garden is real I moved my counter garden from done Stairs to upsthere's..... So I get rid off the white and
the stink bug ... but I have a different problem upstairs. I have honor worms problem upstairs. So
You get rid of one. And there's a diffprint paste that start. But I rather have the honor worm problem than the white fly the stink bug. the worm is harder to find 😅😅 .your garden looks great like away how is the rain and your side of jamaica today is my first day gating some.

Marie your hubby did good with that concrete stand it looks great I saw it in the last video,and you no I have the same problem with those crazy worms they ate all my squash and cucumber vines never get a squash nor cucumber, couple people tell me to use a chemical don’t want that, Steve looking forward to seeing more of those stands💕

Try cinnamon essential oil in water to spray or powder around the plant or cinnamon sticks around the plant. Good against ants too. And please grow a cinnamon tree. Can use the leaves for your tea too 🙂

You can use the neem oil in the soap water at night just wash it off I the morning when you water the plant if your afraid It work just as well and you can spray every plant at night and wash it off in the morning

Food Source: Aphids are a vital food source for many beneficial insects, birds, and other predators.
Ladybugs, lacewings, and parasitic wasps: These beneficial insects feed heavily on aphids, helping to control their populations naturally. The presence of aphids can actually attract these beneficial predators to your garden.
Birds: Many birds, such as chickadees, swallows, and blue jays, include aphids in their diet, especially when feeding their young.
It's all about Balance: While aphids can be damaging to plants in large numbers, their presence in moderate quantities contributes to a balanced ecosystem. Their role as food source, energy transfer point, and decomposer benefit various organisms and contribute to the overall health of the environment.

I've never seen those worms 🐛 on cucumbers 🥒 and tomatoes 🍅 🌱 I've seen them only on kohlrabi leaves. Not even the birds 🐦 like to eat them. We have aphids on the cherry 🍒 trees. They have to be sprayed again with onion and garlic tea. Cucumber 🥒 is supposed to be good for the stomach. My husband uses cinnamon as well against ants 🐜 he sprinkles a little bit of the cinnamon at entrance of our balcony door 🚪 to prevent ants to come inside.

Hey, I m late but I hats set his video, I heard you asking about what to use for ants. I’m in PR lots of ants over here in my land, what works for me and some of my neighbors have said this too is water mixed w dish soap. Just mix it together and pour over the soil it interrupts their nest and makes them go elsewhere this works better for me than the cinnamon, and I still get fruit. Hope this helps
