NEVER TOO SMALL Hong Kong Small Treehouse Loft Apartment - 33sqm/355sqft

  • Treehouse offers a bespoke split-level design strategy with a touch of arboreal whimsy. Box-loft sleeping area is clad in natural pine and seems to float like a tree house with a strip of window glazing look out at the forest. Architect Nelson Chow created a unique, playful sense of space that maximises its panoramic forested context within a decidedly compact, urban setting. ncda.biz/treehouse

A perfect minimalist apartment that doesn't make everything white, cool toned, and textureless just to make it minimal.
The place looks very much like a 'home'

Krispy and Krunchy BORITO It’s expensive because of placement, so what? The house itself feels homey, and does something a lot of other smaller houses don’t... you can respect the the interior and what has been done with the space regardless of price

How this is a minimalist ? All hold, leather and timber ? Rich patterns ? + complex , luxury living side ? And behind that dining table he has a very messy storage/gallery area. Nothing is minimalist about this. Maybe treehouse is but the other aspects of the house are aint minimalist. And btw white color is kinda "minimalist" thing.

    • @mannuelosio1528

It is not minimalistic. As you can see he has lots of personal things, which a minimalistic wouldn't have.

I very much enjoyed that he used colors. I'm glad I'm not the only one who decorates homes with lots of color. My favorite color is white because that is how we see every color in existence. I imagine that if our eyes were different, it would be amazing to see. It would constantly twinkle every color, each beam would be magical. But this is also why I fill every corner with colors and patterns. My bf and I have close to 30 paintings, most of which his mother made because she just found out she had a hidden talent for painting, and they're absolutely stunning. They're filled with color. But him putting these very rich, deep colors in a small space makes it feel like a home and not just a space you live in.

The design of this apartment is wonderful, it frames the exterior with its panoramic views and connects the environment with each of the spaces, maintains the existing and adapts it to the main concept, giving the impression of a tree house, and as reflected from the management of colors, to the use of wood and finishes inside the apartment.

The concept of Tree House in the middle of a city like Hong Kong makes interesting the fact of create a panoramic view that frames the outside. Some elements like the lights in the kitchen and the change of colors and textures make you feel a kind of transition between spaces.

I have watched this 33 times Nelson ... It is impressive what you have achieved out of such a tiny footprint. It comes to say that design and use of space is not just crucial but more of an essential combined with a brilliant colour scheme :) What colour did you use for the walls. My kitchen is also a military green/grey almost and I've used dark timber and yes, I very much love that blue/green wall colour.
