This is exactly what I needed ! I kept having bad exposure with my screens and I’m 100% sure it’s because my transparencies are way to light and not dark enough.
I purchased the Canon iX6820, in part, because of this post. I've printed a half dozen films so far with the settings you've suggested (straight from Illustrator) and they've all turned out great. Thank you.
my hero! if you could do photoshop settings next i would love it so much! i followed along best i could with photoshop and it worked! would love if it was darker however! thank you so much!!!!
The best setting after testing this and another video is too leave the other colors at 0 and saturation and contrast maxed out. Also turn on grey scale
Thank you! This was very helpfull! I would also like to know the best settings of printing from photoshop with a rater image. Do you have a video of that? And how do you know if the film is black enough? Is there a test to find out?

How did you get all those printer profiles to come up when under color management? I’ve been trying to print all day and I’m not having any luck at all.
@@ringworm23 I had to get my printer on a different profile. Once you add it to your computer go to the settings and once you see your printer come up it’ll have 2 different names for the canon click one of them.
Great tutorial. you tuber Catspit productions did a test with printing in pure yellow and the screens exposed perfectly because u.v light can't penetrate yellow. I'll be doing my very first screen and will do a small test first trying both the black and the yellow.

We have a UV printer is that possible to use illustrator to print mirror images on acrylic directly from the software to the printer ?
Really enjoyed this - thank you!
Can you run the printer 2x first print white then run it through the printer again with colors on the second run? To make the colors more saturated.
Thank you for the information!

Bought a $400 HP inkjet and it refuses to print on transparencies. I want to slap the Best Buy employee that told me to buy this.
What model?
What model? Are you changing the settings for transparency paper?
HP sucks ass. Never buy their printers
Thumbs Up!
