How to Coat a Screen for Screen Printing

Adding emulsion to a screen for screen printing. Make sure you are working in light safe conditions. Make a CMYK Rick Black Stencil, From Any Image For Screen Printing
มุมมอง 23K8 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a tutorial on how to take an image from the internet and create your own stencil / transparency to be used for screen printing. 100% CMYK rich black is required for making a good stencil for screen printing as it prevents light from traveling through the black and exposing your screen where you do not want it to be exposed. Mineral Oil Transparency Technique for Screen Printing
มุมมอง 48K8 ปีที่แล้ว
CLICK "Show More" for equipment and exposure information: Printing: For this example I printed using a B&W laser printer. Printing on paper, as opposed to a transparency, is less reliant on how dark the ink is or what your CMYK levels are. I'm sure a B&W print from an inkjet printer would perform equally as well. You'll notice I put my stencils backwards on the t-shirt side so that they read fo...
The best setting after testing this and another video is too leave the other colors at 0 and saturation and contrast maxed out. Also turn on grey scale
Omg. Thank you. I did not wanna buy screens
Thank you for sharing this .🖐️♥️
This was immensely helpful! Thank you
I don’t have access to Amazon where I’m at. Do I get this mesh at the fabric store or the hardware store?
Probably the hardware store. Or a Arts and Craft Store if you have one where you live. :)
New sub. Thank you I needed this.
Brilliant video. Thank you for the clarity😊
the frames from goodwill is genius!

The goodwill tip is everything because I know my instinct was to go buy wood lol

Hi what kind of clothes you use?
this is great - thx I'm a musician ans starting to make my own merch and need to save $ on materials. Great work
this video for bigener must be yiu show every step 👎
what mesh did you use?
I wonder if a good substitute for that anti-slipping material would be SANDING PAPER?
needed this but my black seems to come out tooooooo light to even thinkof getting on a screen very frustrating been at it all day
Try to double it and tape them together
Thank you. I needed this. To the point and no fancy tools. I appreciate you making this video. It’s how I’m going to do mine. Do you add tape over the staples before using it?
This is exactly what I needed ! I kept having bad exposure with my screens and I’m 100% sure it’s because my transparencies are way to light and not dark enough.
Thank you! This was very helpfull! I would also like to know the best settings of printing from photoshop with a rater image. Do you have a video of that? And how do you know if the film is black enough? Is there a test to find out?
Bro what type of screen mesh did you use.
Omgoodness thank you

Hi am student offering visual arts and l need your help

Thanks amazing going to try this
Thank you sm big dog! Keep being a king
Simple easy way to make your own screens. Thank you I like the sandwich technique. Going to try it❤😂
Nice idea!
So i had a few questions about the exposure. 1, do you need to lay a glass on top befor you expose it? Like when your using transparency film. 2. Does it have to be covered until i go outside for the sun exposure? If i choose to use my uv light (mine is 50w) do you know how much time and the distance it would be to expose a 14x14 frame? Also i have a 5x5 and 2x2 would those be less time and closer distance? And if i use the sun does the time change for smaller frames? Thanks
my hero! if you could do photoshop settings next i would love it so much! i followed along best i could with photoshop and it worked! would love if it was darker however! thank you so much!!!!
Great Video thank you
Great video!!
Good
What about a the mesh graphic itself ? Yiu make this also ?
How is the longevity on these? Do they last for multiple prints? Multiple reuses?
Genius!! Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you so much. You are very helpful
So, if I put the emulsion on both sides, let it dry in the sun. Then, I print out on my printer whatever I want to be the printed. I put that on one side, and put baby oil/mineral oil. Let it sit (for how long?), then I put it in the sun again to cure it? What do you use, for ink to put it on a shirt? what side do you use to put the ink onto a shirt? I mean, the emulsion, it gets removed by the baby oil and that's how you get your "print" to screen print off of?
thank you for making an actual diy tutorial. I have come across so many “diy” videos where you need some niche expensive equipment according to them. Thanks for being so accessible and helpful!
What is the name of the cloth please
Any tips on helping the screen not rip with the staples? Got the screen all put together and with a little pressure it starts to rip at the staple site and loosens the screen. Went ahead and coated it with emulsion Anyway. I’m gonna do a test print to see how it works.
This is vere educative video for the beginners 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you so much this help a lot.
Hello i just have a question ,what type of material is the screen sheet that to you attach to the wood made of ?.
I'm a former screen printer & I gotta say ..... NICE !!! I'm going to star up printing at home for my own purposes (not as a money maker).
