God it sounds like a GP bike. This is exactly what watching races five years ago looked like, only now the infographics on the channel are the instrument display on the bike. The idea that now you can go to the dealership and buy this is mind boggling, although thinking that I'd be able to use the capability would be flattering myself.
This appears to be about a 1:45 lap. In 1998, that would have put it about 10th on the grid in the 500cc (MotoGP) race at Jerez. That's crazy. (I don't have qualifying numbers from previous years).
Completely right. Checa did the pole position with a time of 43.4. And in 2001 Rossi did it in 42.7 😮 . I think the track receive many changes, re-surfacing or so...cause it's not logic that today's bikes are not faster. Sorry for my english 🤐
There is one thing I don't get about motorcycles: the digital speedo. Why on Earth is the refresh rate so low? You're doing 35mph in one second and 235mph in the next. The only bike I remember finding a good digital speedo on was the Kawasaki Ninja 300. A small bike with a much better speedo than pretty much any other. That aside, the V4R is a total beast!
I think if the speed is changing that rapidly, chances are you aren't paying attention to it anyway. The refresh rate is fine for when you actually use it, like on the street through traffic. I only check mine every now and then to make sure I'm not gonna get myself a fine :)
@@Finnius_fiff Maybe I'm a little too much old school. I'd still have an analog speedo rather than a digital one. Besides checking it now and then so as not to get a fine, sometimes I check it to have an idea on how fast I'm accelerating - also not to get a fine, say, when leaving a U turn and entering a highway. On my little Ninja 300, it was easy because of the speedo's high refresh rate. On the FZ6R I had later, it wasn't so good - and it was easy to exceed the speed limit; the damn thing does 0-60mph in under 4.5s.

The torque on the v4 r is a lot lower than the v4 s. So the v4 s better lmao. You are just paying thousands for just those useless flaps bc this isn’t a Motogp bike and just more horse power. The v4 s accelerates to faster speeds than the v4 r.
The New V4 is a masterpiece. Such amount of power!
Forza ducati, best of luck to all your riders in both MotoGP and WSBK. The panigale and the Desmo is incredible!
E la numero 1 👍

@@mirco877 yeah it looked like he was just maybe 3/4 of his riding potential. It’s obvious in his exit speeds.

ryvoltz it's because that's how fast it travels from low speed to high speed. And that's why your ninja 300 was readable because it was slow as fuck.

Why do you do this #ducati2019 to me.

The way that thing accelerates past 280kph...and 16,500RPM out of a liter bike! If that doesn't give you wood, you're just not that into bikes.
