At the beginning of May 2022, I visited Banyana Banyana's superstar Thembi Kgatlana at her La Liga side Atlético Madrid, she had just finished training ahead of their game against her former team Eibar. We spoke about her rise in Spain, her aspirations and dreams in international football and her teammates.
