Absolutely I have just arrived to the same conclusions. Happy to have found your video as well. OBS integrates dramatically the lacking functionalities and StreamDesk facilitates and simplifies the livestream workflow. The audio weakness of Atem mini as well.
I run a Church livestream and I so much in your debt for the awesome guides on the Atem mini that you have done. You have been a tremendous help. Not only educated but entertained too just how do you do it! Great work! Thanks
Thank you so much. It means a great deal to me knowing you are finding the videos useful but also entertaining. I put a ton of effort into trying to make them digestible but not overwhelming.
I had familiarized myself with the tech before watching your video--but you really put it all together for me. Thank you! These not only work well for me, but the sequences are good layout templates for future re-arrangements, just like you say in the vid
Another great video with immediately useful content and this is now my fav AV channel. Most users will have the ATEM Mini Pro (and not the later variants like the ISO or Extreme models) as it hits that price/performance sweetspot for the enthusiast who is not a professional. I think these videos far better target that popular demographic when compared to other content providers that focus on the latest equipment that many enthusiasts may not purchase immediately. Looking forward to the next video.
Love your loves! Thank you for the content. I purchased the Elegato Stream Deck however when I try to open up the Companion app, it showing locked....do you know of any issues with them or can possibly point me in the right direction? Thank you very much.
If you follow the tutorial you should be good to go. Without seeing your setup I would do the following: 1) ensure you downloaded the Companion app for the Stream Deck. 2) Ensure you have downloaded the app on your computer and “launched the GUI”. that has to be open every time you plan to use the Stream Deck with Companion. Hope that helps.
Sorry to pick on, but my question - how do you connect ATEM mini? Or you dont use any MACROS from that divice? According to picture, which btw is very informative and nice 01:21, there is NO plug to atem mini which can be control by it? Anyway - love your creativity and your enthusiasm!!!
ATEM Mini is different from the Pro since it relies on external software to stream. The Pro, ISO and Extreme all have hardware based streaming. I believe the ATEM Mini connects to computer via usb. Regardless all can be controlled via macros. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the video, and for sharing the macros that have helped a lot :) How are you getting the HDMI from the Oculus? Are you using a Chromecast, or something else?
Excellent stuff! You produced a great video here… thank you! Question: coming out of the Focusrite into the ATEM, are u coming out of the headphone Jack of the Focusrite, or taking a mono out of the main outs?
Hi, very good video! Do you think i could rely on that deck to start one macro i've created ( looped 3 cameras auto switch ) without a computer once it has been configured on my mac . I mean only the deck and my ipad mini or with ipad ( the only physical source i want to bring on stage. ? Thanks ..
Hi. I really liked your video. So I want to ask a question. Do these settings with atem mini pro and stream deck also work for eccam live? I use eccam live. I don't use OBS.
Hi, thank you for all your tutorial. It’s been so helpful for me using my atem mini extreme, obs and stream deck. I have a question when I am using stream deck and companion to change camera on my atem the transition is hard cut. Is there any other way to have smooth transition. Thank you
Absolutely. In the ATEM Software control panel you have the option to select what type of transition you want from the transition style panel. You can choose a cross dissolve (mix), dip, wipe or cut. I am actually making a video on this topic as we speak.
They are not since I don’t feel they would be of value. My setup is pretty bespoke. Thankfully, if you follow the videos I’ve made you can make something that works for you.
@@CreateConsumeRepeat gotchu do you have any video on just setting up obs with the stem mini pro iso. I having a problem with getting my game audio to come through and is there a way to still record all for camera streams of the stem iso if it’s connected to obs?
@@CreateConsumeRepeat Well .. maybe only the second best movie tho .. th-cam.com/video/YeEbtiruH2Q/w-d-xo.html .. you've got me streaming like a pro and watching some classics today. Thnx for the great videos!

I just stumbled upon this! I’m interested in purchasing the Elgato for my church to use with the ATEM mini!!!!!!! Researching now!
The Stream Deck is a great piece of hardware. It does require time and energy to setup but once it’s working, boy oh boy is it a game changer.

Thank you and I agree, the Extreme is a real amazing piece of kit but overkill for most enthusiast needs.
You deserve more views for this. Best video ever.
Thank you and I’m glad you found it helpful.

Where did you get the icons for your Stream Deck. I am setting up a similar studio work flow and realy dig the icons you use.
I designed most of them myself but you can try nounproject.com
@@CreateConsumeRepeat Thanks for the tips.
@@CreateConsumeRepeat You should sell your icon pack, I'm sure people would buy them. I would!
Great video! Very comprehensive and you are very articulate! You got a new subscriber!! I look forward to future videos
Thank you. Really appreciate the support.
I'm trying to guess what tool did you use to make such a beautiful diagram. I really love the icons! 1:22
I used Photoshop. I’m a designer by trade.

Chromecast.
Great video, hungry to dive deeper in your Setup!!!

you saved me hours of research
Glad I could help and don’t forget to download and use the files in the description section.

Headphone jack on the Focusrite into the ATEM Mini Pro.

The stream deck will always need a computer.
After the configuration is done, do you need to have the ATEM or Companion software running on a computer?
Yes
A W E S O M E 😎 👍🏻
Hi. I really liked your video. So I want to ask a question.
Do these settings with atem mini pro and stream deck also work for eccam live? I use eccam live. I don't use OBS.
I am not very familiar with ECamm but certain you can get the ATEM Mini Pro and Streamdeck to work with ECamm by making some minor tweaks.
@@CreateConsumeRepeat Ok, many thanks
Thanks for the info! If I have both of these devices but I want to use two dslrs for twitch streaming, do I still need 2 separate video capture cards?
If you own the ATEM you have 4 HDMI ports so you could have 4 DSLRs.

What exactly do you need help with?
Are your companion and stream deck profiles for sell?
They are not since I don’t feel they would be of value. My setup is pretty bespoke. Thankfully, if you follow the videos I’ve made you can make something that works for you.
How did you create the video I that fades into your video
Made it in After Effects.
@@CreateConsumeRepeat would you be down to do a PlayStation one with the PlayStation color logo
Sorry but I don’t do freelance work.

are you able to fade in and fade out the Picture in Picture? HOW???
Yes. It’s very simple and I believe I describe how in the video as well as provide my macros.
Do you do private lessons?
Sorry but I don’t. More than happy to answer any specific questions you may have.
