Woah, this game seems to be going places. Definitely keeping a close eye on it now. I also really like the aesthetic. A cute, cuddly look but the combat remains visceral and brutal. It sets the tone perfectly. A beautiful world, yet not without violence, far from perfect. It encapsulates the light and dark just right. Hope the game won't shy away from some very tense and gruesome moments.
I remember trying the demo after the first time you showed it off, tons of fun. It's so cool to see the game progress and think of neat QoL features that smooths the tedious and lets you enjoy the story or the beauty of the environment as a whole.

You have to love Splatt. Explains that you have a hook that you can use to move around, to smash things and for combat. Promptly forgets hook and uses guns to smash the loot boxes. Wonders why he is forced to use pistol :P Smash with the hook! Smash with the hook!
There's a skill that allows you to hookshot pirates in the back for auto kills. I love it. I think you can also use Luma to teleport back to your ship if it blows away or something.

I had a LOT of fun with this game. I did find I got to a stage where I was OP in relation to some stuff, but completely the wrong side of the curve to travel to some of the new areas. But this was after about 20 hours solid and the game IS in early access, so I can't hate it too badly. Good game. Worth the current price.

In addition, enemies sometimes drop ammunition so that the pistol is not used so much.
I remember this. They ripped out the male mc and replaced him with a female mc that is absolutely the same and said it makes it more interesting. Then when pointed out that people would like to choose between being a guy or a girl they said it'd take a huge amount of code to implement that choice despite them having all the assets for the male mc already since he was playable for a long time. They lost my patronage after that fiasco.

I remember playing this awhile ago and there's this weird shift in tone. The art is almost chipper, the main character looks happy and hopeful but the game itself is pretty grim and the main character actually looks dead inside lol.
The Twisted Assault Rifle actually bends bullets the 'sights' are so wonky. I think in some situations you can use it to shoot around corners but... never used it. Also note that your character is also a brutal mass murderer who likes to kill by shooting a grappling hook into her victims backs and a people smuggler... Just saying :D (edit - Splatt shows the assault rifle firing sideways... Guess that is what happens when you try and make comments before the vid is over... I *THINK* it actually does massive amounts of damage, just you have enough weapons that do medium amounts of damage and are much easier to aim.)
The weught pusle with the scales. Does it work with the > marks? Like, place it in the the order from the least amount of wieght to the most amount of weight? Like, lesser weight < higher weight? Or in reverse order?
I remember the main character being male in the Demo, did they they change that for the story or can you choose between the two at the start of the game?

Also, the 4 weights puzzle, it's heaviest to lightest, or was it lightest to heaviest. I think there's a tone or a light to show you if it's in the right place, use the scales to compare the weights and find the heaviest to lightest...It's been a while, but I remember that once I had the first one, it was always the same. Some good stuff from it, IIRC.

I asked them about it when I got it at launch and they said it wasn't in the near future plans. Not promising.
Multiplayer is the hardest part of coding a game.

It only bends at about half the screen length so it's still not bad. ANd if you can adjust for it, it's probably still solid as an early game weapon.
