Moral of the story: families don’t give up on each other.
Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind.
@@elsagreen1476.. or rather, it should mean that..
Thank you for respecting her boundaries. ❤ she’s so happy!
Fawn found the perfect home. They knew to give her space and seemed to know the small steps to make her trust. Thank you for adopting this beautiful little girl. I’m so happy that she is so happy.
They're the perfect family for her - gently respecting her timeframe for learning that she can trust them. Great to see her real, vivacious personality come out. Love the "Fawn flops"! ❤🐶

This channel proves that love and patience are the answers.
Our guy Lincoln (RIP) would do “grass angels” in the summer and “snow angels” in the winter! Congratulations to the whole family on finding each other!
So many people would abandon this dog. So proud of you for sticking with her.
I guess there are idiots in this world who think they’ll pick up any dog and it’ll be their cuddle buddy immediately, but no thinking person would abandon her just because she needs a few days to decompress. Completely normal behaviour.
@@mm9773 Not just a cuddle buddy, people treat these sentient beings like accessories or furniture. In the US, they’re considered “property” by the government instead of animal family members.
Those people don't deserve dogs.
Asher and Shelby are the PERFECT family for Fawn. They allowed her to adjust in her own time, and met her where she was. She's such a beautiful dog, and I wish them all the very best. ❤ from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
I love how Fawn's entire personality changed, when she realized that she could trust you. You both did really well w/ her, and your reward is a friend for a lifetime. :)
Thank you for your patience and kindness towards Fawn. She was absolutely worth the wait! 🌸🌼🌸🌼💗
You're welcome
You worked for her and worked to get her to trust you but she was working just as hard on you all and working to trust you so it's a 2 way street ! You all are wonderful have a great life together and love your pets as they love you,God Bless❤
The Fawn Flop is adorable! What a transformation from being scared to zoomies through the house.
Hello how are you doing i hope you fine
What a sweet baby. She’s so gorgeous
Hello how are you doing i hope you fine ❤❤❤
It's so hard to imagine what this poor dog went through to become like that! Thank you for loving her.
Nicely done, people! That was a great story, and I think it's not an overstatement to say that Fawn really came out of her shell! You gotta love her excitement and enthusiasm for life now!
Rest in peace lola dont worry fawn is taking good care of your mommy and daddy
"GOD BLESS YOU FOR RESCUING AND LOVING FAWN, I CAN TELL YOU ALL BELONG TOGETHER"!!!🙏💖🥰
Aww… great that little Fawn eventually realized that she didn’t need to be scared, she had herself a couple of good humans,
It's so nice to see such a scared furry babies so happy and confident. Thank you for being gentle and persistent in showing her that she is loved and safe 🧡
Such a beautiful family. Blessings to Fawn for finding her “fur-ever” home.
She hit the jackpot with you two as her parents!!! Great work with her early on and now look at her!!! This is awesome. Thank you both for loving her so much
What a perfect family, thanks for their kindness 🙏
thank you so much for teaching Fawn not to be afraid of people. You were patient with Fawn....and gained her trust. Now everyone is happy!
Thank you for giving this lovely dog a good home ❤
You're welcome
Aw, Fawn is so so sweet. I think rescue dogs with fear are often especially clever, because they had to be, to survive so long alone. Their trauma instincts are still in flight mode, which is the best defence they have when they're homeless (even being injured can be fatal when you don't have people looking after you). I'm SO GLAD she was adopted by this couple, they seem like the perfect parents for her. I love how patient & empathetic they were, how they lay down with her to let her come to them when she knew they were safe. Lovely family. Lovely Fawn.
Good girl fawn. I'm so happy you found a wonderful home 😊
The dog I rescued from a neglectful family took almost 2 weeks to decompress and settle down. Some of the videos I saw made me think it would be an instantaneous connection and I started to worry. However, after some time she really came around to bond and be loved. If you get a rescue dog don't get discouraged or give up, it just takes time and patience.
Rescue cats, too!
@@sandrafaith It took 9 months before I could pet my rescue cat. She's making progress every day. It will be 2 years in August and I am still hoping she will want to sit on my lap or not be scared when I walk toward her.
She actually looks a bit like a fawn! She’s precious. Congratulations to all! ❤
It's so wonderful that there are amazing people out there that will do this for a dog. I cry at all the Dodo videos.
Ya'll are doing a wonderful job with Fawn. Thank you for adopting her and giving her so much love and care ❤️
Bless her whole little heart and these ppl who chose to love her!
When I adopted my two cats, they were not very well socialized. They were terrified of me. Otis took about 4 months to really come up to me and want attention. His brother took 5 more months! I just decided if they were never going to be lap cats, it was fine and I was just patient. It worked and Foster actually was more of a lap cat than Otis.
I'm glad you gave Fawn time to get to know you and become a confident doggy!
😢 That was absolutely beautiful She is now living her absolute Best life with absolute Best Parents❤ Fawn just wanted to make sure she really wanted to adopt her Humans🥰
Thank you for adopting her , and giving her the space . Not rushing like some people do . And look what you get ❤. Thank you 🙏
this is so sweet! ❤️
🤧 aww she's super gorgeous, bless you for adopting her and giving her a terrific forever home. So sorry your other dog went over the rainbow bridge, may Lola rest in peace 🙏🖤 cracking good video thanks for sharing 🖤😎👍
I adore all the nicknames you two were giving her before she stepped into your hearts. I love the “Fawnster” and “Fawnz”.
She has such a joyful and unique spirit and I know she will bring a lifetime of happiness to you both 💗🐾
Thank you for taking the time and the patience you help her have a happy life❤❤❤
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR PUPPY DOG !!!! XOXOXOX
Kudos to both of you for saving a life. May you all have many happy years together!
You two are just the best!! She needed you and your kindness and patience 🥰❤️❤️ I am so happy for your sweet little family!!
Fawn scored a great home!

Thank you, Dodo for celebrating Pride month!!!
Snuggling with my two pups right now, tears streaming down my face. Thanks for a happy ending!!!
that is awesome. puppy just comes out of her shell. great humans taking on the task of taking in a strange dog.
we adopted our Benny when he was six months old back in 2020. it took
him about a week and a half to two weeks to get settled. once he opened
up it was uphill from then. he turned out to be one of the sweetest and
loving dogs we ever had. it always seems like when you adopt/rescue
a dog they know how much better their lives will get.
Patience is key. I love a happy ending.
Thank you so much for being so patient with her during her transition. She is lovely.❤❤❤
She's so beautiful and happy
Hello how are you doing i hope you fine
God bless you for your patience abd kindness to her❤
TY FOR GIVING FAWN A GREAT LIFE GOD BLESS YOU ALL
Lovely to see. I had a Potcake dog from Grand Bahama Island once. Similar situation. Dogs who were born feral just have a lot of acclimating to do. Love and patience can transform them. Like we see here.
I'm not crying I'm cutting onions!
Thank you for adopting her. In Puerto Rico there is a lot of mistreated and stary dogs same as cats and chikens now.. its sad so tjis kind of rescues are such a satisfying thing to see
Thank you for showing her love ❤
What a happy ending. These are the stories that restore my faith in humanity
What a great story; God bless you for sticking with her. She is adorable.
Incredibly awesome job humans, Way to go!!!👍😊👍
Faun is beautiful. I’m so glad you love her and care for her.
Fawn and Lola could not have found a better home. I think that overnight transformation was Lola whispering in Fawn's ear, "it's okay, sissy. You're home. You are safe here. I will always be here with you."
Oh my. Your thoughtful comment brought me to tears. Talk of Lola has never stopped in our home. We say that Lola is Fawn's fairy godmother who helps her along. 🧚♀️🐾
So blessed to have the love of dogs in my life. ♥️
@@shelbycarver7996 I've always felt like my rescues who've crossed the rainbow bridge have stuck around to make sure the next kid gets settled in. I bet Lola's hanging around, soothing Fawn while she adjusts to the new place & her new loving family. Probably chasing her with the zoomies.
Thanks for sharing your story. It’s a good reminder that sometimes a pet who you adopt may need some time to get comfortable and trust you. I had a similar experience with the last cat I adopted (but it eventually turned out well in the end). ❤
More blessings 🙏
Wow, what a beautiful gorgeous puppy dog!😍🐶🐕😍
You are great people. I wish you could adopt 100 more!
We have a rescue almost identical in behavior to Fawn. Her name is Lola and she flops too! She was so terrified when she came from South Korea to Seattle. She was rescued from a dog meat farm. No wonder she was so terrified!
We had one called Hazelnut who was like her. She had a bit of fox terrier & whippet in her. Very very nervous at the start, she'd never been indoors before she was rescued & it was a slow (but rewarding) process allowing her to discover the home & learn she was safe. But when she started trusting us we got the flops too, & she'd do this thing where if you weren't paying attention to her she'd come & put one of her feet on the top of one of your feet. Like 'look at me'. A special girl, we miss her so much.
Thank goodness there are kind people in the world like you. 😊❤🐶 ❤
God bless you for saving, having the patience & loving this beautiful little lady👍🙏💕
She is beautiful. Thank you for saving her.❤
Well done best of luck ❤❤❤
What a beautiful story ❤🐕🐾🥰
Thank you for giving her such a good home ❤
You go Fawn!!!
Thank you for giving that sweet dog so much love understanding and compassion😊 she is such a sweet adorable dog. I love her too❤❤❤❤
A beautiful story about a beautiful family! Fawn was a scared little girl at first, but Shelby and Asher's compassion, patience and love changed things for the better. Fawn doesn't replace their previous dog Lola (RIP), but Fawn does help her legacy of love survive. "The Fawn Flop" is priceless! When Fawn trusted Shelby and Asher enough to be silly around them, she was home and she knew it! Thanks to Shelby and Asher for saving Fawn! 😇😇😇😇🐕🦌🐾👩❤️👨💗🏠🐕🌈🌁
Thank you so much for your kind words, they've touched me deeply! ♥️

Thank you 😊😊😊😊😊
We call this process with rescues “becoming a real live dog.” Best feeling ever! Great job by the adopters!
JOY!!!!!!
Such a beautiful story so glad she has a happy home 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Adorable ❤
Its great that you gave Fawn the time and space to decompress, and let her know she was welcome to join you, whenever SHE was ready. It really didn't take long, did it, and she decided y'all were okay, and not going to hurt her.
I can only imagine what horrors she experienced before she was taken off the streets. It couldn't have been good, considering her fear, and the way she shut down at first. Maybe not a complete shutdown, but one long enough so she could process what had happened to her in such a short time.
I know she will love her Hoomans forever. I also think that, maybe thwy should look into adopting a brother or sister for Fawn. That would further encourage Fawn to play and snuggle with her brother or sister, especially when the "hoomans" are not at home. You didn't mentio bit, but I imagine she has some separation anxiety? If you don't want to crate her, a sibling might be the thing to do.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Fawn is so cute 😊. I wish her and her family a wonderful life ❤❤❤❤❤
That speedy dog looks like an agility dog to me! She would love that!
She's always the fastest dog around! She's in third grade right now at her dog training class and we hope to keep training her as she loves to learn new things.
She has the puertorrican energy! 😂 love to see her so happy. Thanks for rescuing this beautiful soul ❤
