For a short 17 km trip: "It was 9.4L." and "It was 7.2L." It's really important to note that these figures are *NOT* in litres, even though that is exactly what they said. These figures are L *per* 100km. Nobody would be proud of using 7.2 or 9.4 L of fuel over a short 17km drive.
This test is so stupid. Hybrid weights more, so there is more tire resistance. It can only be more efficient when it uses its own battery. But after its depleted, its over
It will be roughly 20% fuel saving. I compared my W166 GLE500e vs GLE500, same horsepower cars, with no electric charge, over a 1600km journey across Canada, the PHEV with V6 petrol is 9.8L/100km and the V8 petrol is 12L/100km.
This is the second iteration of the same video. My comment is the same as before. If you look at the graph at the end of the video, you will see that the end point is not the same as the start point. The end point is at a lower altitude than the start. Therefore the Hybrid car is always going to win that one. It would be nice to see a journey where the start and end point are at exactly the same place (and level) to make the test truly fair. Not biased against the hybrid GLE....... I have just ordered one!!
The start and the end is the same place and so in the same Level. For the video we drove the route a few times. Always with similar results. For the video scenes have been filmed at different times. Nevertheless the results are valid and also similar in different routes.
@@matthias1976 ok. It’s just that your altitude map at the end of the journey looked to be lower than the map at the start. Sounds like you did a fair test. I do have a question though; if you need to be in battery save mode, say to use in a city later, does any recuperation along the route actually fill the battery or is any recuperation used along the journey whilst maintaining he same % Charge? I have just ordered one and was wondering.
