I owned a Belgian made 20 gauge auto five from my teens. Ended up having three interchangeable barrels. Full choke, modified and improved cylinder. Basically full choke for duck and turkey,modified for dove and improved cylinder for quail hunting in the brush. Best shotgun I’ve ever owned.
At 5:32 you show both friction ring and spacer are behind the recoil spring. I suggest you look up how to set those rings based on the loads you are shooting. None of the factory recommended set ups have both behind the spring, the forend will eventually crack.
My personal favorite slug gun A5 Buck Special 12 gauge, had a buddy with one like this 20 gauge loved it for bird and small game hunting. The reciprocating barrel accentuates recoil to a degree but in my mind it's the most classic of all auto loaders. Did a great job in filming the shotguns operation.
The reciprocating barrel does not accentuate recoil. It just doesn’t do a good enough job of attenuating it. It actually lengthens the impulse, thus smooths out recoil. A different spring system or better, a hydraulic buffer would smooth it out further, as you see in the video it slamming against a hard stop.
@@henryattfield8979 thats fair i was just giving you shit. i really like 7 1/2 shot at the farthest yardage for that reason, i think its 28 yards. it kicks like a fucking mule, and the target is so far you have to be reallllllly fast on the aiming and its really hard to hit. Gets me high a bit lol
@@Jordan-vx2ly yeah, it's good fun.i got 32" barrels on my o/u so the wight pulls me through more, makes it so I know to lead rather than jerk. 20 gauge shells are annoyingly expensive though, despite being smaller. Don't get many semi autos or pumps for them either

You have the the friction rings in the wrong place! The bronze friction ring always goes on top of the spring, never on the bottom of the spring!!!!
