    This night time trail footage is beautiful.

    Nice example of keeping a level head and being flexible. Glad it worked temporarily. Nice trail!

      Thanks, gotta keep moving lol 😆 hopefully the tires aren't too bad off, by episode 2 I get it mostly fixed lol

      I second this comment. Usually things like this have a way of tossing people off-kilter and ruining plans. But what an incredible attitude and posture. Subscribed and liked on that basis alone! Great video, footage, and truck!

    That trail looked kinda gnarly especially at night. Hope you got the tent issues figured out. Thanks for sharing!

      Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment! Yes, the camera doesn't show how steep the trail was but definitely rough. Figured out most of the items on the tent, but still some things I am not happy about it. Might do a video on it.

      @Grip It Offroad Glad you got most of the issues worked out. We will be doing the tent thing for a while when we switch rigs here soon. We desperately need 4WD. We miss out on too many routes due to 2WD here in Oregon. Just subbed!

      @@VegaVenturing Thanks! and yeah, 4x4 is a must for sure. So many times I have passed a full campsite filled with campers, vans and Subarus and spend 30 mins on the trail reaching a remote area to have it to myself. Worth it.

    Jack up tires in air an spin with good sized piece of wood, checking the gap between, if you find wobble, have axle shaft checked with dial indicator. May have bent on trail. But probably jus need new spacer set with correct studs. Check your tolerances between your hubs. You might get lucky putting them back on with dial indicator but probably problem will come back. Especially when people without spacers jus throw em back on!!!! Check tire rotation visually also may be tire too. Outtaround.

      Great info! I thought about a bent axle, I don't think that's it but maybe. I had a road force balance in episode 2 (I didn't film it) but that seemed to help a lot. Still some vibration but not nearly what it was in this video

    Ditched the spacers, they just put stress on bearings and axles

    Nice video. Glad you were able to get the truck sorted out. Wheel spacers are always a bit sketchy. Looks like a good trail. Take care.

    • @gripitoffroad
      @gripitoffroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! and yeah, I think the spacers are actually working well, it is a tire issue I think. I have had two sets of these and for some reason had a lot of issues with Toyo tires unfortunately. I want to love the tires, but after 5k in tires and a lot of shaking I might be looking at a different manufacturer.

    Were you pulling a trailer? It's weight distribution could have been a source of your wobble? Some frequency modulations or idk man.

    • @gripitoffroad
      @gripitoffroad  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No trailer. I believe it was the wheels. I still have the wobble to this day. I need to swap wheels. It's not as bad but still bad

  • @Shortyellowbuss01

    The issue is you’re running wheel spacers.

  • @Zach-gq1rk
    @Zach-gq1rk ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Toyo mt tires right? I ran 2 sets. Every rotation for about 1000 miles I had a mild vibration that went away. Got 50k out of them and I could’ve pushed them another 25k if I wanted to. But every 5k rotation I had a vibration for about 1000 miles and it went away. Not sure what you may have found out though. Also on a 16 f150

    • @gripitoffroad
      @gripitoffroad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good to know. These are my second set too and I rotate often. I had a road force balance done in flagstaff that helped but there was some cupping that I think is still causing some vibrations. Bet when I rotate to rear again I'll have better feel off the set in the front

    • @Zach-gq1rk
      @Zach-gq1rk ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gripitoffroad your truck is an 18? What size of tire are you running by chance? And also are you still on stock rear shocks?

    • @gripitoffroad
      @gripitoffroad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Zach stock shocks (something iv needed to replace for a while) they are 35s with 18 wheel

    • @Zach-gq1rk
      @Zach-gq1rk ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@gripitoffroad I did tons of research debating what to do that was budget friendly. I could not believe the difference ditching my stock shocks. That could be a reason you’re getting some cupping. I went with the bilstein 6112 for the front and the 5160 resivor shock for the rear. I’ve neglected to put the 6112 front kit on because I’ve not had the time. I’ll get a level from that but surprisingly after lots of research and finding some cheap stock 17s I bought 295/70/17 nitto trail grapplers and they fit stock. Rub occasionally under serious articulation. Tire measures out to be 33.5/12. Anyway I’ll say that 5160 rear resivor shock is a game changer. I should’ve done it 2 years ago.. stage 3 motor sports has that kit for something like 1200. I’ll let you know how that 6112 strut is when I get it put on. I’m thankful to have stumbled upon your page. I’m new to the overland game working on getting started. My fiancé and I have a travel channel that we do here on TH-cam aswell. You earned yourself 2 more subscribers I’ll be glad to watch. Do you have any other social media for your page?

      @Zach man! Thanks! Really appreciate the help and explaining. As soon as I can I'm going to swap shocks and see. I need them anyway so can't hurt.
      And thanks for watching and subbing! Means a lot! Maybe one day we will run into eachother. What's yalls travel channel?
