No government propagated it and neither can it, because people are going to come for real and check it out. If the other monuments are actually more beautiful, then why didn't they become famous? Everything in and around Delhi historically is corrupted and brutalised because of repeated occupation by invaders. Taj Mahal symbolize the epitome of loot and plunder by invaders. Real India starts south of Maharashtra. It is very difficult to explain to Foreigners the real India is not Taj Mahal or chicken tikka masala. We Indians worship simplicity of ancient temples and it's sculptures made out of local stones with the help of only hammer and chisel.

I have been to Agra. The Taj Mahal is beautiful. The size and scope of it cannot be captured on video. You have to see for yourself. That being said, Agra has its challenges in how people get around. The infrastructure needs improvement for Agra to attract more tourists. Accommodations needs to be better. However, the people are very friendly. The food was so good. Thank You

The problem isn't money for infrastructure .....People there and Shops wouldn't move for any amount of money and India is a democracy so no politician would ever do anything about it. Still, a new Metro line is being built in Agra.

    • @percentbigfoot

@@RhettandClaire Yea, The main problem is that because people have been living there for generations around the area it's hard to convince them to move since it's generates income for them and an X ammount of money may or may not work out.

Awesome videos. Waiting for your videos of my home town- Jaipur. While you are here you must visit narrow lanes in old city to see artisans doing handicraft work - Blue pottery, Zardozi, kite making, quilt making, Bangles making , jewellery making etc. Apart from beautiful forts, palaces, markets... handicraft work done by our artisans in old walled city is also part of our heritage.
