1:43:00 Better way to think of these "ai" is that every weapon in the base has a combat AI. that is all, the rest is just a human made build order. No coordination, no holding metal/energy in reserve. just dakka
Anyone tried to do an AI tournament with a 5 minute grace period at the start where the AIs cant attack each other? May be some interesting dynamics with balancing alpha strike power with ability to withstand an alpha strike and then go fromward into a normal match
1:04:00 I hate how Incursus sometimes gets so caught up in saying the same thing over and over that he forgets to actually commentate on big developments. 1:36:00 And he does it again.
Would be cool if players were able to concede a match via message to the commentators. Also, would be cool if the AI behaved slightly differently depending on the commander selected. Each could have their own peculiarities, strengths, weaknesses. Love the round robin format btw. The winner has beaten all other AI, not just won by luck of the draw. Plus more forts = more good ♥
Incursis, PLEASE don't continuously move the camera around the field as you were between RageAlert and FlinnShadow. The occasional move to focus on something for a minute here and there is fine, but trying to track small mortar groups while there's so much more happening elsewhere on the map is, frankly, infuriating.
Do none of these AI take into account reload times on enemy snipers? Given it’s useful to track for ALL weapons but once you know where a sniper is from its first shot, you know they have it, and an AI can precisely track EXACTLY when it’s on and off reload. Why would an AI EVER attempt to place something, exposed, while a known enemy sniper or shotgun, with a known angle on the build position, and is known to be ready to fire? It is guaranteed eco waste… Far more than just building more concealed/protected positions and going for bigger weapons anyway, and that is a perfectly functional way to get out of that position. Snipers outpace countersniper placement in damage:eco far mor than they can outpace metal placement and repair
Bit of a necro. The AI Aren't your "standard" AI. They simply follow a preset build order. If the creator of said build order leaves something exposed, the AI will build it exposed. The AI also attempts to complete the build order as fast as possible. So if that exposed thing is shot and destroyed, it will be immediately rebuilt, shot and destroyed, and repeat until it runs out of money. The AI also has perfect and complete vision of both bases, so there is no "hiding" things from the AI.
First match at 8:22

Thank you
you are a hero my friend
Thank you good sir.
Thank you, these type of comments need to be pinned.

I was not expecting bad apple!!! hahaha
3:25:15 I'd love to see that vod again. Can I get a link to that? I, too, have fond memories of such shenanigans.
Battleship AI wars when?
Hooray for AI tourneys!

The terrain blocking so many lines of fire really put a damper on this tournament, what a pity :(
