I received a mailer asking for help repairing a lagged SANAKY refrigerator air compressor. We proceed to cut the refrigerator block for internal repair. After much effort I have completed the repair. Refrigerator air compressors have achieved the required specifications.

What a great video. You took your time with everything. It shows how important when doing a job for someone you really care. A true trade's men. We need more of that around the world.
Excellent work. You have figured out how to do something that is very complicated and requires great concentration to execute without making a mistake. If fine particles from grinding , polishing and welding could be completely removed the lifetime of the rebuild may be extended. Possibly by running an hour and then changing the oil by a fill plug that would have to be installed. Also, have you considered replacing those thin metal valve parts? They appeared to have worn out a bit. I appreciate that you did this without any new parts which may be the only way to just barely earn a living from this service.
Waving your hand back and forth to block the light while welding allows you to work faster but be very careful not to make a mistake. Consider wearing UV block glasses, the will do quite a bit of good if you have to use the hand waving technique to weld fast. Some of the UV glasses only block UV and have nearly no tint.

First of all, you cut it wrong, then you spray painted it with a spray bottle that will deteriorate in the heat, but you did a great job. ❤ 🇵🇰

Reminds me of my childhood days at my dads shop. I used to open compressors by hand. Do you work on LG linear compressors as well? Maybe I can send you One with the same issue.

Cool video, and respect for repair, but i don't get the "New York" part :D WHY ? Compressor is 220 V 50 Hz indicated on label, so quite useless in USA, or North America (except if you use some expensive step up converters and inverters to generate that voltage and frequency). Respect for repair, FAIL on address :D cheers
As long as the 50hz isn't actually being used for timing, the wattage is the most important thing. The wattage is essentially the same for 240v60hz and 220v50hz. That and the fact that compressors only run as needed, it should be fine. Should. Whether or not it's actually safe or a code violation, that's for an electrician to decide.
@@pacmandrugs I agree that frequency is not as important here but, voltage IS. I think that on 110 V as it is standard in USA and North America in general the compressor would just not have enough power to overcome the first momentum to start. Since it is made to work on 220V, It would pull a lot more current (amperage) to compensate lower voltage but still not sure if it would start under load. Also there is always an option to wire it in between two phases, which would make it work but that is not certainly "by the code" :D

im sure hes had welders flash several times but those sticks for the stick welder are smooth never seen a arc strike so easily.

Scrap ... muy bueno tu mantmto. no hicistes asentamiento de válvulas en equipo muy desgastado, esta claro sube las 350 psi y las remonta pero.... falto pruebas en diferencial de tiempo, al soldar la olla tendrías que hacer prueba hidrostatica ... al sumergirlo con hidrógeno en tiempos calculados verías si queda hermético y hasta después pintarlo ... sin animo de desanimarte sigue asi .... todos aprendemos nunca se termina... saludes, Managua,Nicaragua .-

Tenho um igual a esse só que deixei no tempo e entrou água dentro e parou de funcionar ,estou a fim de abri-lo tbm pra fazer a limpeza e volta-lo a funcionar pena q não tenho a máquina de solda
