    Removed a section in my camper where the entertainment area is and installed. Works great. Instead of propane furnace heat, I can use this th-cam.com/users/postUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo to heat the camper as long as it's hooked up to shore power. Only thing I do not like is there does not seem to be a thermostat. I'm presuming it has a built-in one so it does not overheat. Really like all the other color options it has to offer.

    Thanks for this. I have a similar fireplace with the heat blowing from the top, and I didn't have a clue how to keep my tv from getting too hot! Great job!

    Love this! I noticed that you tucked your cable box and/or other equipment behind the TV. Did you build a shelf back there? This is something I'd like to do but am having trouble finding a DIY that shows this step. Thank you!

      Yes I did have a piece of plywood as a shelve

    Was the fireplace a wall mount instead of an insert? Guessing thats why you had to reroute the heating?

    • @Jvc77army
      @Jvc77army  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it was a wall mounted. I like how the flames look. That is why I select that one.

    Love this!! What are the materials called you used to re-route the fireplace heat?

    • @Jvc77army
      @Jvc77army  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you. I used a simple dryer duct and a vent box to hook the duct into. I also use an A/C vent cover.

    Great video! Quick question. I noticed you kept the trim at the base of your original wall (this is what I want to do). Was this an issue with putting the new flush to your old one? Thanks!

    • @Jvc77army
      @Jvc77army  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I trim the 2x4 that was leaning against the baseboards. This allow me to keep the baseboard. In the event that I sell the house later on and the person does not want it. I could take the entire project apart and take it to a new house. Hope that helps!

      @Kingdom Builders I'm now at the step of shiplap in my project. Is there a reason why you started at the top?

    • @Jvc77army
      @Jvc77army  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@samanthabasson2212 It is most like likely that people will look at the top than th bottom, So I want it to to have a full plank and not one that I need it to cut. So estetics 🙂

    this a first for me i been on here looking at ideas for fireplace so why did you add ductwork to that fireplace ?

    • @Jvc77army
      @Jvc77army  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most wall fireplaces have the vent pointing forward, this model has the heating vent pointing up. I just re-routed the heat to face forward. It works great!
