    What an amazing job, and the best part about it is that the whole family was involved in it the kids will always remember that. I built a mantel for my family room and yes I have to admit I distressed it but that was the look that I was looking for and it looks absolutely beautiful. One question, are you in the construction trade by any chance? Or maybe engineering or an architect? The reason I ask is because you really did do a great job and the framing was absolutely perfect.

    Can you please give the measurements and dimensions for everything on this fireplace? I have been wanting to do the exact same thing.

      Don't let them do you dirty. It's cheaper than you think. Simple install

    Awesome video and installation/build. You have inspired myself to do the same in my living room. Hey also what kind of hard wood floors do you have? Thank you and god bless!

      YT is great for inspiration!!! It's tile not wood.

    Did you need to reinforce your floor in the basement to hold the total load of the build?

    • @CaliBoud
      @CaliBoud  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would highly recommend if not in ground floor or if the base is not solid.

    Hi. Did the glass of the fireplace overlap your tile or did the stone come up to the edge of the glass? Also, for the corners, were they straight or 45 degree cuts?

    • @CaliBoud
      @CaliBoud  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mitered 45 degree cuts. It was an alternative to the precut store bought stones. I think it turned out better.

    • @CaliBoud
      @CaliBoud  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There was a 1/4 gap from glass to tile to lift glass off.
