If I found a power cable like that on a job site, that's a hard nope from me, stop work, customer to contact electrician to get all of it sorted before I'd come back. Can't afford that liability. Good job by you as always.
Yeah, I mean if it was damaged in anyway I would’ve been a bit more cautious, but it was just a shallow buried tech cable nothing to cause immediate concern
I'm getting fiber installed next month on the 3rd and i've been binge watching your videos just seeing how the actual hard parts look like of the install 😂
For all intents and purposes, there will always be water in underground conduits, especially if no one bothers to glue things together. And I know the smell. I don't like the idea of cutting a conduit off below grade. But I understand why you felt that was your only real choice. I would have made some effort to seal the conduit/microduct, not to keep water out, but to prevent the conduit filling with soil in case someone ever has to replace that fiber.
@@FyBurz there is someone else I watch that does the same thing fiber installs, he does a lot of underground drops to the house while digging but only goes around 6 inch deep and doesn't use any conduit to protect the fiber at all!
@@MrMoon275 yeah, I think I know who you’re talking about just different standards and procedures I guess I’m not a fan to be honest of direct buried I mean
@@FyBurz on a more serios note, the amount of extra work you are willing to put in so the job gets done as close to perfection as possible is astonishing! Keep up the awesome work... so I can come again and again to your vids to clear my OCD 😂
@@FyBurz Haha thats funny! I'll definitely watch that one! I've been binging your channel since I found it last week. Fantastic content, the amount of care you have to each job is awesome. We dont see enough of that :)
its this level of detail and going out of your way to make things look nice that I love about this channel.
Appreciate it man 🙏🏼
Fun to watch. I learn something new with each install. Thanks !!!
I’m glad!

Thanks brother 🤙🏼
I've never seen a power line that shallow even direct buried.
Crazy..
Yeah tell me about it I was really surprised 😂
Very nice work! Just wondering if you clean the drop and port before plugging the drop in.
I don’t. Maybe should, but I’m not required to. And I’ve never had an issue 😅
Nice work making everything tidy and done right.
Thanks I tried!
Thanks for putting out this content, picking up so many pointers.

It’s definitely sealed and can be replaced with ease. Not that it’ll ever need to be replaced lol.
Great job 😁
Thanks 😁

would sticking a fish stick or fish tape down the existing conduit help determine how deep the 90 was from the surface?
not a bad idea, might be hard to know if it bends.
Nice Job - Thats Quality work!. But having the Power Cord that shallow underground ... kinda dangerous.
I mean it’s deeper now than it was 😅
@@FyBurz Thats true - So you improved the Situation :) - My critic was tied to the before situation.
I gotcha 😅 this was a spring warm up dig. I got an 80m dig coming up. + aerial
"If you guys could smell this" ... Yea, no thanks 😅😅
